history, and despite that ongoing search, it has not been found to this day. it is believe to have crashed into the indian ocean. kendis and diane. >> all right, lauren lyster, thank you. over to iraq now where concerns about security are sky high this morning after a new wave of deadly violence. isis claimed responsibility for three separate explosions that killed at least 93 people yesterday and wounded more than 160 others. it was the deadliest day there so far this year. the attacks come amid growing concern about the political turmoil that's destabilizing iraq and undermining the fight against isis. meanwhile, fbi director james comey says the u.s. is making progress against isis recruiting. comey says nearly 800 isis-related cases are being tracked across the u.s. and that fewer americans are now traveling to enlist with the terror group. comey claimed that a couple of years ago that six to ten americans headed to the region every month. now that number is down to about one per month. federal officials say a fire that sparked the deadly blast at a texas fertilizer plant was

deliberately set. that explosion three years ago leveled the plant, damaged buildings in the town of west texas and even registered as a small earthquake. 15 people were killed, a dozen of them first responders. the atf is now offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. so far there are no suspects. three people have emerged as heroes following that deadly stabbing spree in massachusetts. the d.a. says seconds after arthur derosa crashed into a macy's store, a macy's worker tried to stop him from attacking people. then he ran to a restaurant in the mall where he stabbed a waitress. that's when restaurant patron, george heath, a teacher, tried to get the knife away. his wife describes what happened. >> i grabbed his shirt trying to hold him back. my husband grabbed him. i think he grabbed him around the waist area, i think, trying to keep him so his arm wouldn't go up to stab anybody else, and the guy pulled his hand back and stabbed him in the temple.

>> unfortunately, george heath died in that effort. the rampage finally ended when an off-duty officer killed derosa, but derosa's family members say it all could have been prevented if a mental hospital where he had gone for treatment hadn't released him that morning of the attacks. "60 minutes" correspondent morley safer is signing off after 46 years on that broadcast. the 84-year-old made the announcement yesterday saying the time has come to say good-bye. he was the longest serving correspondent at "60 minutes" joining the show in 1970. his last story aired in march. well, still ahead, a consumer alert. popular light-up shoes for toddlers catching fire. and an excessive use of force, or was it justified? overnight an investigation announced into a wild police chase and how it ended. plus, high-speed test, 0 to 400 in seconds. could this be the future of transportation?

residents near los angeles were complaining about this large flare from an exxonmobil refinery earlier this week. well, the plant had just restarted more than a year after it was damaged by an explosion. exxonmobil was fined more than $500,000 for safety violations following that explosion. also out of l.a., the lack of job opportunities for female directors in hollywood is being investigated. two federal agencies are handling this investigation. this is according to the aclu which also requested the probe. it follows a report that women comprised just 9% of all directors for the top 250 movies last year. diversity, as you know,
