sunnier sunday. chris. >> breaking news out of oakland. one man is dead after a three-car crash a on southbound 880. it happened near expert change just after 1:30 this morning. the chp said a stalled vehicle was hit the by at least two other cars. two have been hospitalized with unknown injuries. all southbound lanes were initially shut down but have since reopened he had.. some east bay high-schoolers are playing a game involving sex, and explosives. it's a scavenger hunt and police are warning people not to play because of the danger involved. >> there's a a scavenger hunt going on. >> school students heard about it, so about the officials. they warned people on four campuses. >> we heard it could involve

the investigation started with the suicide of police officer brendan o'brien last year. he took his own life about a year after his wife's death was also ruled a suicide. there was initially some suspicion about her death. the officer's suicide notes said a series of events prompting his life and work prompted him to take his own life. they are beholding judges until charges are filed. >> tragic if the person sue couples to the pressure and they don't do investigation. >> the san francisco bicyclist who was injured of hit by a police cruiser is talking with abc7 news. you can see the cyclist being hit in the south of market neighborhood. here's sergio win can youna with more. >> in dash van video from a

>> he said if you have to have an excellent, it's good to have it with a cop. they shut the street down. >> an ac track train headed to oakland slammed into a pickup truck, killing three people. it happened yesterday. investigators believe the truck's driver tried today around a freight train that was stopped and did not see the amtrak speeding toward him on a second sets of tracks. the train split the truck in two. known on board the train was injured. the city of pittsburgh may set up surveillance cameras along the highway to help stop a string of shootings. they have been six shootings in that area since last june. the latest, mother of four, died wednesday when another fire opened fire on her vehicle. the city's plan would set up cameras as key city-owned or private locations costing $100,000. santa clara county prosecutors say they are still

trying to find the connection between an be accused murder and one. its victims. on wednesday that victim was found shot to death near los gatos. a second victim was found inside a trashed car in campbell. the man accused in both crimes has now appeared in court. katie marzullo has the latest. >> the widow, siblings and close friends of the victim were in court as the 53-year-old man was charged with two sants of murder. >> this is obviously a very disturbing crime. >> in new documents the sheriff's deputies say redmond and an accomplice went into his place wednesday armed and demanding money. >> they encountered his adult son. they held the barrel of the gun to his head and hit him several time. and bound him on his wrist, inc. else and arms with duct tape.

when he got home, there was a confrontation. he was shot with two shots on the head. there was a pursuit and the prius crashed at hamilton avenue. redmond tried to run but was caught. along his path deputies found a bloody vest and gloves. and no the car his accomplice covered in blood from a laceration on his arm. he died at the hospital and appears to be the john doe redmond is accused of killing. >> i don't want to expect laities to what his relation to the victims may have been. >> also on an apparent to do list first item was to get more bullets and the second note had the victim's address written on it. abc7 news. >> repairs should wrap-up by noon today on a sewer main that cause a big singe hole in san francisco. crews installed a new 36-inch sewer pipe that was shipped in from arizona. the sinkhole nearly swallowed an

his threat to jump was apparently over an unpaid bill. according to the las vegas review journal, the man deng he would his legs over the edge for 6 1/2 hours before coming down. he's now undergoing a mental evaluation a train conductor is being hailed as a hero for leaping into action before a crash on the track. it happened in western poland. take a look at this. you see the train conductor run thug the aisles, learning passengers to get low and brace for impact. and you see them bearing down on a truck stuck on the track. it hit the truck at 60 miles an hour. those on board threw themselves on the ground as instructed and remarkably no one was killed or seriously injured. the crash and the heroics were all caught on camera >> now to the dramatic images to a skydiver plane crashing. 17 passengers on board as the plane starts going down after the pilot reported engine trouble moments after takeoff. here's reporter suzanne from our

of us. live doppler hd. we could see some patchy drizzle and it will usher in cooler temperatures. mid-60s san francisco, mid-70s santa rosa and we will be shy of that today. here's the precip. mendocino county. the area of low pressure will sweep to the east. then we will look for perhaps a little bit of moisture here and there getting to some partly cloudy skies in the afternoon. right now from our roof camera you see the nation there from time to time we have a bit of a breeze with numbers ranging from 48 in morgan hill to 58 in oakland. and in between we've got 54 san jose, half moon bay, 55 mountain view and san francisco sitting at 56 degrees. through our east bay hills camera, pretty cloudy out here. concord, livermore and in fact the entire bay with actually the high and mid-level clouds. not so much in the way of low clouds this morning. 53 livermore. 54 napa, novato.

and 55 concord. this afternoon we will see highs similar to the past couple of days. plenty of 60s. a few 70s for the outlying regions. as we take a look at mt. tam, a little bit of fog in the upper elevations, the breeze and patchy drizzle this morning. cooler than normal for the weekend weren't will get into that warmer pattern. and back to work monday and then the warmest day of the week will be tuesday and wednesday and then another system will cool us back by the end of the next week. statewide we are looking at the precip here, the northwestern corner. the state. partly cloudy, dry. 74 in yosemite. cool and a good deal of cloud cover in southern california and at our beaches. so temperatures not bad, but a little bit cooler than what we are used to. so a narrow line of drizzle and still by 10:00 the clouds will begin to evaporate and by the afternoon we get into a partly cloudy sky. but still with that cool onshore flow the numbers in that narrow

range. 60s to perhaps low 70. in san jose today midst 70s. below that even cooler tomorrow. we will get into more sunshine. upper 70s on monday. mid-80s tuesday. near 90 on wednesday and bag cool down after that. so in terms of high temperatures today, notice the green here representing mainly 60s. 62 at half moon bay. you get out to the inland east bay by the delta where numbers will reach about 710. though 70s. 72 livermore, san jose. 67 oakland. and vallejo as well as san rafael. tomorrow a big day, bay to breakers, we will look at temperatures and the cloud cover with us again to keep us on the cool side. 55 at 7:00. upper 50s by 9:00 and looking at low 106's, more sun. and by the afternoon it should be pretty nice in the mid-60s. the accuweather seven-day forecast, a coolish weekend with more cloud cover today. maybe some drizzle. and by monday we are warming up
