millbrae father is the victim of a homicide. keith green had been missing since april. he was last seen at the millbrae pancake house. his phone was found in golden gate park. his body found last week between healdsburg and geyserville. more now from vic lee live in san mateo. vic? >> reporter: dan, we now have some answers, but they raise even more questions. keith green's body was found a week ago, but authorities kept it quiet as they launched a homicide investigation. an investigation that has yet to yield a suspect. keith green, father of two kids he loved, simply disappeared. he left his car and wallet behind. at first, he was listed as missing, now this. >> this case is now taken a turn and being investigate as a homicide. >> reporter: this after keith green's body was found in smoem na county. friends and family have been wallpapering millbrae with posters of the missing 27-year-old hoping for leads.

he had last been seen april 28th at the millbrae pancake house. green had been staying with family friend angela dunn the last six months. she told abc 7 news he was going to meet an ex-girlfriend to work out a custody problem. >> i gave him a hug and said, be true to yourself, and be strong. >> reporter: she reported him missing the day after he vanished, the day after that his cell phone was found in golden gate park. on may 11th sonoma county sheriff's deputies found a body in a field off highway 101 near geyserville. >> he was identified through dental records and as far as it being a homicide there was evidence that was located on his person. >> reporter: that's all authorities will say about the investigation. meantime, green's family and friends released a statement on facebook thanking everyone for their immense support, warm thoughts and continued prayers. and that they would remember green as a great father, son, brother, and dear friend. investigators say they have no

suspects or persons of interest, but adding that they have lots of leads in the murder case. vic lee, abc 7 news. a 20-year-old man faces criminal charges tonight after a triple shooting in pittsburg. gutierrez was shot by officers last night after he refused to put down his gun. he'll be transported to county jail once he's released from the hospital. the suspect's father and brother were also hit during the shootout on kingsley drive. both are expected to survive. a former peninsula high school teacher has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a student seven years ago. 58-year-old ken krau el taught at mills high school in millbrae. kroul resigned from the position in june of 2008. san francisco city administrator today released new security camera footage showing a raucous may 6th protest that led to the arrest of 25 people. the rally was held in support of five hunger strikers who were protesting police shootings in

the city. the city says protesters damaged a metal detector, a front door and window at a cost of more than $20,000. protesters refuse to leave city hall after closing time. the spokesperson says the vandals have not been arrested. to the race for the white house. senator bernie sanders just made a surprise appearance in downtown san francisco and left moments ago. >> let's get right to wayne freedman who was there. wayne? >> reporter: good afternoon, dan. the rumor wrz true. about an hour ago we stood there in justin herman plaza and said there were rumors spreading through the crowd that sarnders would make an appearance in san francisco. he had some spare time. in fact he did. it was a hotel workers rally. they came here to 101 california street and when they did, out of the crowd right over there in the corner bernie sanders shows up, spoke for about five, six minutes. i believe we have some videotape. let's listen to what the senator said. >> and i am proud to be here

brings to every home game. >> fourth quarter or whenever it hot time-out or when we need people to get juiced up during a particular play, that's where the hype man really comes in. you have to get that energy up, players can feel it. >> reporter: as spontaneous as it seems, there's a lot of behind-the-scenes planning to what finn does every game. but the key is always to keep it real. >> that's right, dub nation, wave your flags! >> reporter: finn became hype man 13 years ago when there was still a mascot named thunder and a team that didn't always perform on the court. >> it was really tough at first because how do you get someone hyped up with something where the outcome is not looking so great? we learned a lot during those dark years, as we say. >> reporter: and now it's time for finn and the fans to step up again with their defending champs down after game one of the western conference finals. >> i know that no one is perfect so our team has a down night occasionally. so i think they'll come back. i think we'll win tonight.

they started turning the ball over at an absurd rate and were missing shot after shot. they certainly didn't look anything like the team that went 73-9 in the regular season. everybody started playing what we call hero ball where each guy wants to be the hero. we saw steph and klay launching shots from way outside, just nutty shots. draymond green says the warriors lost their poise and they basically abandoned their offense. >> we went ballistic in a terrible way. we were throwing the ball all over the place. we were taking horrible shots. we were doing one-pass shots. we weren't ourselves. >> you have to understand when you play this team, they're long and athletic and active. you have to be sharp with their execution. >> reporter: if the warriors felt pressured at the end of game one, think about the pressure heading into game two. shu? >> reporter: they've been down 2-1 last year twice in the series but never 0-2. normally game two is when teams

forward patrick marlo today. he doesn't expect a letdown at home in game three. >> we've done a good job just focusing on what we have to do to succeed. bring our effort and do the little details throughout the game. that usually bodes well for us. >> game three is tomorrow night at 6:00 at the tank. a bicycle helmet intended for infants is being recalled because of a choking hazard. >> these are a different kind of helmet. it's interesting. wisconsin-based pacific cycle is recalling 129,000 schwinn branded infant bicycle helmets. they were sold exclusively at target since january 2014. safety experts say a magnetic buckle on the chin can come loose and pose a choking hazard. the helmet is geared toward children ages 1 to 3 years old. no injuries have been reported. the brightly colored helmets are

clearly marked with the word "schwinn" on the front and come with a no-pinch chin strap buckle. i reported last week about a state bill to simplify the expiration dates you see on food packages. today federal lawmakers introduced their own bill that also would clarify that labeling. leaders in congress say confusion over date labels cause us to dump perfectly good food into landfills. it's estimated a quarter of all the food we buy. they want to simplify the array of dates you see like "best buy," "used by" and freshest before. the bill would set a limit for a label for freshness and one for safety. a nearly identical bill was introduced at the state assembly. the federal law would set standard for the whole country. you're watching me there from my story last week where we tasted food that had gone well past the "best by" dates, all of it proving to be just fine. here's a nice switch with so

many recent store closings announced of late, one store company is actually opening up more brick and mortar locations. the parent company of tj maxx marshalls and home goods says that plans to grow its number of stores by half. tjx companies will have 5600 stores by the time the expansion is completed. no word on the timing of those openings. i guess we know what's going to fill all the empty spaces we're seeing everywhere. >> it's encouraging to see expansion. >> it is. >> thanks michael. scientists have created an artificial spider web that could potentially be used in robotics and biotechnology. researchers at oxford were trying to figure out how a spider's web springs back into shape without tangling and catches insects without being destroyed by their weight. in doing so, they discovered thousands of glue-like droplets they help capture bugs and spontaneous repair possible tears in the web. scientists call the phenomenon wick lik wid wire. they say the materials that

san jose, 93 livermore, 87 santa rosa san rafael. 24 hour temperature change, you'll feel it along the coast and the bay where temperatures have dropped inland areas are still pretty hot. golden gate bridge camera showing you what is to come. you're going to be seeing more of this, the fog. low 70s right now in san francisco, 74 oakland, 82 in san jose and currently 59 in half moon bay. sunshine from our san jose camera, those temperatures are in the upper 80s for fairfield, concord, liveror more, santa rosa, 80 degrees right now. a live look from emeryville, really hazy skies looking back toward san francisco. breezy and cooler tomorrow, further cooling into the weekend. we have a chance of showers friday and saturday. here is a look at what's going to happen overnight tonight. the fog will be around along the coast and the bay and some parts of the bay area for the morning commute. could even see a little spotty drizzle tomorrow morning, temperatures starting out in the low to upper 50s with the fog around and then the wind will

start to kick up. that's what's going to drive the temperatures down inland. at 5:00 a.m. it's pretty gusty along the coastline. we head into the noontime hour, and you'll notice right along the coast 35 to 40-mile-an-hour winds not out of the question. this continues for the evening commute. breezy in our inland communities but along the coast it will be windy. highs for your thursday, lower than today, warmest spot will be 82 in antioch, 60 degrees in half moon bay. we will see some patchy low clouds lingering. then our storm impact scale. we've been using this all season long to rank our storms from 1 to 5. this system that is coming in is a light system. it's a 1. possible showers friday, saturday, most areas less than a tenth of an inch. we're looking at the slight possibility of thunder. friday morning 5:00 a.m. could see a few showers around as we head toward the afternoon, still some spotty showers showing up. and then we go into saturday and saturday is when this model in particular is really wet, showing some light showers at 7:00 a.m., continuing right on through noontime.

east bay leaders are going after donald trump after the republican presidential candidate dissed the city of oakland in a "new york times" magazine article. the writer asked trump if he had ever been to iraq. trump said no. then he added, there are places in america that are among the most dangerous in the world. you go to places like oakland or ferguson, the crime numbers are worse. seriously. mayor libby schaaf fired back today tweeting this, let me be clear regarding the "new york
