>> good morning, everyone. i'm carolyn tyler. thanks for joining us on this sunday, may 22nd. let's start with a quick look at the weather with our meteorologist lisa argen. >> hi, carolyn. good morning. we have a lot of cloud cover. even some visibility issues right now. here's live doppler 7hd. you see the clouds over the bay area. there's an area of low pressure that will continue to influence our weather the next several days so we aren't quite done with some rain shower activity. 50 in concord. low 40s in napa and up in santa rosa. it's cooler with a half-mile visibility right now in napa a mile and a half in petaluma. just over two miles santa rosa. the rest of the bay area no problem. but we are looking at the cooler temperatures this morning. heading out grab the jacket.

it's five degrees cooler in santa rosa, as well as san jose and six degrees cooler in mountain view. heading out the door you could see a sprinkle here or there, but otherwise counting on partly cloudy skies, upper 60s coast to the mid-60s inland. >> thank you. a predawn raid at a mansion leads to a murder case. one is charged with hurt. >> keith green was last seen alive in april. -- or may 11th, rather. that's the authorities found his body. yesterday law enforcement raided the home of his ex-girlfriend and mother of his children. that girlfriend, tiffany li, seen on the right. is in jail, along with the another man who faces murder and conspiracy charges. sergio quintana mass the details. >> neighbors say san mateo county deputies used on armored

vehicle to burst through the grant gate. they raided the mansion. >> he could see the ball horns. we weren't sure what was going on. >> the police surrounded the house. they were in our yard. they were on a loudspeaker first in english and then it was either mandarin or cantonese, i'm not sure. they were calling for the people it come out. >> at least two were arrested. neighbors tell us tiffany li lives here with her parents. she's in the san mateo county jail. the second person is bayet. he's her boyfriend. >> it's disturbing that this happened. i can't imagine it. >> keith green used to be in a relationship and shared two children with tiffany li. he was reported missing last month, and his cell phone was then found in golden gate park.

several days later he was found dead. his body dumped near heelsburg in sonoma county. i buzzed the front gate hear several times to see if anyone wanted to talk. we did see two women inside holding a child, but no one answered. green had been staying with family friend angela dunn when she went missing. she told me by phone she talked to their mother and they are all relieved there is an arrest in this case. in hillsboro, abc7 news. >> abc news reporter vic lee first broke the story on twitter. we will continue to have updates or our station twitter account, abc7newsarea. the police ever investigating a double shootingg in the city's north beach area near san francisco and taylor street t happened last night. the victims were taken to

san francisco general hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries. no arrests have been made and a motive is still unknown. in the south bay investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire that chased a san jose family out of their home. a neighbor took this cell phone video of the fire on sagewood lane in east san jose around 4:30 yesterday afternoon. the fire department said the flames started in the garage, rapidly spreading through the rest of the house. the family was inside. everyone ran out before the fire consumed the entire two-story house. san jose firefighters responded just in time to keep that blaze from spreading to adjacent homes. >> the whole thing was for the fire, it was very scary. the good thing was okay -- occupants were out. about ten minutes we took care of it. >> the red cross helped the new residents find a place to say. the fire department said the home is a total loss.

in oakland investigators are looking for the cause after devastating fire that destroyed three east oakland businesses. it happened early yesterday morning at the corner of 73rd avenue and mcarthur boulevard inside a commercial building. flames raced through a pharmacy, a nail salon, a cell phone store, destroying all three. twelve fire engines responded and encountered difficulty because of the wrought iron security gates and other barriers. >> it's pretty bad because it's a common area so it's easy to go from one space to the next. i believe all together it is maybe like 11 units involved. one of the affected business owners said he's planning on rebuilding. he's already signed a lease in a vacant building across the street with plans to set up shop there. firefighters from throughout san mateo county spent yesterday gearing up for fire season. abc7 news was on san bruno

mountains where crews practiced digging containment lines on hilly terrain. wildfire season starts next month and lasts through october. the county was fire crews to be well prepared. >> the vegetation is there. it's there and it's always a threat. every year, as the grasses dry out and hot the weather comes, there's always that potential for a fire here. >> more than 50 firefighters took part in yesterday's exercise. it's one of many more planned before wildfire season hits its peak. a new e ra in saving lives began this weekend from they moved into the new zuckerberg trauma center. they moved the patients from the vintage building to the new tower yesterday. mark zucker bark and dr. chan

donated millions to the hospital. >> it's built with the patient in mind. all the rooms have beautiful views of the city, and it's safe. that was the reason for rebuilding. >> the new hospital includes a much larger emergency department with 59 treatment rooms. that more than doubles the amount of rooms in the old hospital. san francisco general is also the only trauma center to treat seriously injured people in san francisco and northern san mateo county. it's considered a south bay landmark, an institution of sorts. and it's closing. cambrian bowl has been there for more than half a century. today is its last day of operations. >> i took a couple pictures. >> outside of cambrian bowl, people are taking pictures of the sign before the lights

tuesday for a fundraiser. the former president will hold campaign events in stockton and sacramento later this week. clinton's rival, bernie sanders, kicked off a southern california campaign swing with rallies yesterday in san diego county and irvine. he has stops scheduled throughout the state over the next few days and new abc washington post poll shows a close contest in presidential election preferences. the poll showing donald trump leading by two points, 46% from hillary clinton's 44ers. contest has tightened since march when clinton led among registered voters by nine points. a mainstay of california politics for the last 50 years calls this year's presidential campaign the strangest he's ever seen. abc7 news anchor eric thomas recently sat down for a chat with leon panetta the former cia

director and secretary of defense. he said donald trump is appealing to an angry and frustrated electorate. >> he's appealing to that group with hate and division and the kind of language that i think just inspires even greater hate. >> panetta is a democrat who worked in the bill clinton white house. he said if the race was based only on knowledge and ability, hillary clinton would win. this is the last weekend before the voter registration deadline. tomorrow is also the deadline to register for a political party. voters who registered as no party preference, also known as declined to state, can request a ballot with a democratic candidate. voters must register as republican to receive are a republican ballot.

monday morning. and then even tuesday we will have the clouds and cool temperatures. from the roof camera right now looking a the 53 degrees downtown san francisco. 56 outside for you and oakland and cooler numbers from mountain view to san jose in the 40s as well as morgan hill. the cool pool of air continues to be over us for the first couple days of the work week. 52 half moon bay. that allows for afternoon highs to stay well below average. how much below? we will show you in a minute. novato, fairfield, concord, livermore check being in at 50 degrees. the golden gate bridge camera you see the clouds out there. so far no airport delays. we will call it partly cloudy today. getting into more sunshine. chance of some early morning showers tomorrow and looking at a warmer second half of the week. that will begin on wednesday, thursday and friday. so a little bit of moisture right there. so wouldn't be surprised if you saw a few sprinkles. as we go through the afternoon. 3:00 partly cloudy.

maybe the hayer elevations, a light shower. cloud up again tonight and then by early tomorrow morning look what happens. we are looking at a few sprinkles maybe toward the 7:00, 8:00 hour. but in terms of temperatures. 56 in san jose. that's 10 degrees below average. little change for tuesday. then slowly the numbers begin to bump up in. santa rosa very similar with highs just about 65 today. then notice the cool beginning of the week, the warmer second half of the week, and with that more sunshine. so some clouds, maybe an isolated sprinkle early on. 66 with some sun in the afternoon in san jose. and cupertino. low to mid-60s for redwood city and mountain view. we will call it partly cloudy to mostly cloudy. breezy along the coast in upper 50s in daly city. the north bay maybe sonoma could see a light shower. otherwise 64 calistoga. partly cloudy skies in napa. 63 in novato. near east bay with mid-60s. 65 in hayward, castro valley.

afternoon sunshine on monday. so we will be looking at temperatures then today in the 60s by the afternoon. we will see a pretty good day with sun setting at 8:19. but kind of cool out there for the afternoon game at&t park. it will be partly cloudy for most of us by, say, noontime. 65 in fremont. 68 in one of the warmer locations. and then if you are spending anytime in oakland today, you will have some sun. temperatures in the low 60s. game time there at 1:00. so looks like the cool weather is going to stick around for the next several days. the accuweather seven-day forecast with 60s on the high end inland tomorrow and today looking like the coolest days. then by tuesday, notice a couple degrees warmer. it's really going to take until the end of the week into next weekend where we see 70s and maybe 70 around the bay. >> lisa, i better get used to it. we will be here for with a while as we build a new set in the studio.
