live from the kgo-tv broadcast center this is abc7 news. >> arson investigators visiting the scorched vallejo home with a dog this morning. the site of a tragedy. a little boy is dead. his mother has terrible buns -- burns. neighbors have many questions. i am kristen sze. >> i am natasha zouves. was the fire set intentionally? our reporter, amy hollyfield, is in that neighborhood. such a sad story. amy? >> yes, vallejo police are not saying but their presence is saying a lot. quite a scene here still. this is 24 hours after the fire happened. this is not usually what we see after a house fire.

>> investigators property if their arson dog as they took a closer look at the vallejo home that caught fire yesterday. it killed a five-year-old boy. seeing their street rope off with crime tape added another layer of emotion. >> it is hard. hard. it scares me. that someone would do that with kids in the house...so...i don't know what to say the. >> i have five kids of my own, and to have somebody burn the house, a family...what is the world coming to? >> it happened yesterday morning before 10:00, the mother suffered second- and third-degree burns trying to rescue her child. neighbors tried to get to him. >> we cooled her off and asked her where the baby was and started to go in. i could only get halfway through the living room.

all the district attorney will receive the case from deputies in the meantime keith green's friends are worried the form girlfriend's family could take things into their hands. a weekend raid led to the death of keith green's former girlfriend and her boyfriend. a third person is in instead. tiffany li is in sheriff's custody charged with conspiracy and murder. her current boyfriend, kaveh bayat, is is in jail on the same charges. i am relieved they got caught. that is peace of mind. >> they shared two children together, he was last seen in millbrae at a pancake house where he was to meet tiffany to discuss details. he never returned. her friend would only talk if we concealed their identity. they were afraid because they say tiffany is from a very wealthy and powerful family that could retaliate even though she

this morning, and they told me the deputy is doing fine. in fact, that deputy is working today inside the santa clara county main jail. this took place yesterday afternoon. here at james. the sheriff said an inmate punched a deputy in the face a few takes. he was taken to the hospital and checked out in an hour and released. the sheriff played for surveillance video out of her pocket and had them install in the jail in march in response to the death of an inmate, michael tyree. three gars have been charged with the murder but the sheriff said this will protect the guards. i was told there were no cameras where this took place but no have been installed since march and the sheriff is in the process of installing more. the inmate will likely be charged with a felony for assaulting the deputy. reporting live in san jose for abc7 news. >> thank you, a woman is safe after escaping a house fire in antioch, because of the help of quick thinking officers. take a look at these flame

shooting out of a window. the fire break out at 3:30 in the morning on pecan street at cypress. by the time they get this police officers had already arrived and they helped a woman who was trapped on the roof of the second-story home. >> the antioch police department with the assistance of the fire department put the garbage cans to the garage door and told the lady to climb on to the garbage can and assist her off the roof. >> she climbed down. she is expected to be okay. >> firefighters are working to contain a wildfire that broke out over the weekend that starting 3:30 in the afternoon in part of county's southeast of soledad. the fire grew to nearly 4,000 acres. however, it is not threatening homes. firefighters racing against the clock to contain it because there is concern that pg&e power lines could catch fire and cause a major power loss. >> we are on storm watch tracking another round of showers moving into the bay

live doppler hd any time. >> we have new details about a fatal accident this morning involving caltrain. trains are backed to normal. a man was hit and killed in burlingame. near the oak grove avenue crossing. it happened at 6:30 this morning. sky 7 was overhead when crews arrived. investigators say he was trespassing on the tracks of the 300 people were on the train. no one was hurt. >> c.h.p. c.h.p. is trying to determine in there is another shooting on an east bay freeway, they responded to a shots fired call before 6:00 p.m. last night near richmond. they are not sure in anyone was hurt. they did not find a victim. or a suspect. there have been roughly two dozen shootings on east bay freeways the last six months. several were deadly. most of the shootings have been tied to gang activity. >> san carlos police are looking for smash-and-grab thieves who made off with firearms from a gun store. police say that the gun store was hit early yesterday morning.
