>> this is one of the largest memorial day events in the country for tuning on korea and vietnam veterans and the anniversary of the buffalo soldiers. there are 2,500 people expected to be here. 2,500 people who got quite a surprise, a visit from a presidential candidate, bernie sanders. i s covered this event for a long-term but never seen anything quite like this. >> president obama paying tribute to the men and women who have given their lives in service to our country. this morning the president laid a wreath at the tomb of the unknown at arlington national cemetery saying our nation is so thankful to the families of the fallen. >> a vision el is underway tonight on the him side in the east bay, the crosses of lafayette have had ten years of keeping count of united states service members killed in action. the memorial started with controversy at the beginning of the iraq war when residents put

a cross for each united states soldier who died. some criticized it calling a political statement. that controversy went away. now, families go there to remember loved ones. tonight the service starts at 7:00. the memorial is just across the street from the lafayette bart station. >> develops are gathering in the heart of san francisco ten door line. st. anthony's dining room is hosting a special lunch for those who served. one of the few places offering a hot meal offering lunch for 3,500 veterans. students at stanford are helping out to serve lunch. >> with sanders today, hillary clinton and bill clinton marched in the memorial parade in new york this morning, they were joined by new york governor cuomo. the clintons have a home there. analysts wonder how she will handle questions of using herrist e-mail as secretary of state for business purposes. that practice was called "inappropriate," last week after

weekend. you can see the clouds along the coast and once in a while though break open for sunshine. and even in it is not sunny where you are going you know with the thin cloud deck the sun is going to go right through it and burn you. 55 at half moon bay. we have low-to-mid 60 from san francisco, oakland, hayward and san mateo and upper 60s in hayward. a lot of 80s heading interest inland east bay. we are going to have money 80s through the south bay, los gatos could reach 90, and santa cruz afternoon sunshine and 70 and cloudy all day, and 62, and warmer in pacifica at 67, and those the extremes at the coast. we will have, say, upper 70s to mid-80s on the peninsula and right around the upper 60s in san francisco, and low-to-mid 70s around south san francisco and sausalito and in the north bay valley, for any length of type, get ready for 80s, 86 degrees there and along the east bay and all the bay area, this is abc7 shore, quite a spread. inland temperatures in the upper 80s like men and pleasanton, to 95 in antioch.

if you are boat or sailing, north of the bay bridge we have a small craft advisory and it will be choppy. tree pollen, glass pollen but the big story is the u.v. index is, the must addition part of being outside, and, still, great in santa cruz, but afternoon sunshine, and temperatures at the coast are in the secretary through 5:00, and we will hit 80s to nearly 90. around 7:00, hook at that, 50s at coast, and 76 inland. and comfortable by 9:00 mid-50s. to mid-60s. >> 68 at 6:00, drive down to 62 and winner takes all, and next door, they have a baseball game, and the twins and the a's 65 dropping to vine from 7:00 to 10:00. notice, the coast will have mid-60s, our warmest day is in the soviets on friday. our warmest day around the bay is in the mid-80's. by friday. we will have triple digits
