>> it's a long process and if it's a truly democratic process we get to see this through to the end. >> reporter: again we're still waiting for senator sanders to come out here. during this rally, during his speech, senator sanders is expected to touch on his familiar theme, that is free tuition for public universities, climate change and universal health care. this rally was supposed to happen at about 7:00 tonight but it was moved up because of the warriors playoff game against oklahoma city thunder. >> thank you. it's going to be all california all the time for hillary clinton starting tomorrow. she marched in the memorial day parade in new york where she's lived since 1999. clinton's campaign announced today she's cancelling events in new jersey to focus on the golden state. in the coming days clinton will make stops in los angeles,

orange county and back to san jose where she campaigned last week. tomorrow sanders is scheduled fo make appearances in santa cruz at 1:00. another car break in in san francisco and another law enforcement agent's gun stolen. this happened on hayes street in san francisco. vick lee is live at the scene. >> reporter: the park is right over there. this is pierce street. as you said the crosses are hayes and field. this is a relatively small street. it's a magnitude for tourists and also a magnet for car burg yars. neighbors say there's an epidemic of car break ins. >> i see broken glass here almost every day. >> reporter: a week and a half ago a cell phone video caught this woman breaking into a car near where the fbi agent's vehicle was parked yesterday. she pretends to tie her shoe and

then breaks two windows stealing backpacks. using a spark plug it takes only a split second to smash the glass. yesterday afternoon another car break in. this one was different. >> usually they aren't cop cars. that's what got our attention. >> reporter: the san francisco police responded quickly because the car belonged to an fbi agent. >> he found his window broken out and his gun gone. >> reporter: not only was the agent's gun stolen but the thief took his badge and credentials. it's become a familiar and dangerous refrain. last year kate was shot to death on pier 14. the transient charged with her murder used a gun stolen from a federal agent's car. last august the uc berkeley police chief had her gun stolen from her vehicle and last year

firearms were stolen from an off duty car to a vehicle belonging to a cop. >> it's scarey that somebody would leave a gun laying around and it's dangerous. >> reporter: the former police chief wrote a letter to other agencies asking that their officers and agents lock their guns when parking in the city. in this case the fbi declined comment saying only that they're looking into it. vick lee, abc 7 news. a beach warning issued today during this week of warm weather. a 13-year-old girl had to be rescued today at ocean beach. she got into trouble while waiding in the water. the waves have been breaking close to shore. still no sign of two oakland teenagers presumed drowned in the central valley. crews began searching for the boys saturday afternoon at the woodward reservoir. family members identified them in news reports.

the reports say the boys jumped from the back of a boat into the water with two other friends who made it back to the boat. family members say they are accu cousins and best friends. the police are searching for a missing man considered at risk. the man is 83 years old. he was seen wearing a royal blue baseball hat and he hangs out at the marina village shopping center. call the police if you have seen him. meantime search efforts for 15-year-old pearl are on hold for the time being. family members believe they is alive and they're ready for her to come home. worried sick. they held a vigil yesterday on the foot bridge over interstate 780 where she was last seen wednesday morning. a witness reported seeing the teenager being dragged away as she was headed for school. the suspect was killed during a shootout with police. thousands of people paid

tribute to the fallen at at memorial day ceremony. it's one of the largest memorial day events in the nation. this year there was a special tribute to veterans of the korean war and marked the anniversary of the korean war and the first all african-american army unit. memorial day celebrations were held in san jose and >> reporter: this come came to visit her grandparent's grave site. it was her first time attending the memorial day celebration at oak hills cemetery in san jose. >> it hit me harder than i thought. but i'm glad i'm here. >> reporter: every year san jose honors the american men and women who served in every war

and conflict. t >> i feel a responsibility to make sure i'm a voice for veterans. >> reporter: this man came to honor his son and daughter. one is a marine and the other in the army. >> for all the people that lost their lives. >> reporter: also on this day there was a special service to honor japanese-american veterans. >> the sacrifices that people make under the most trying of times and the darkest of days. >> reporter: in the east bay city locals attended a dedication for a new 9/11 member yol. engraved is the time and city of each plane that went down that day. the new memorial will serve as a gathering site where people can reflect on what happened on 9/11 and the sacrifices made by veterans and first responders.

the forecast calls for fog on the coast overnight, more sun and heat for tuesday and this heat is not going to peak until late in the week. overnight tonight there's that fog on the coast pushing into the bay so patchy fog from oakland, richmond and san francisco but everywhere else clear skies. i want to zoom on in and show you where those cities will be affected by the fog like freeplont and san francisco but it won't last all that long. by 10:00 it's eroded away for sunshine and a sunny day on the way for tuesday. zooming on in to san jose, 88, 86 mountain view. foggy in pacifica and 69 in downtown san francisco and into the north bay 85 sonoma and oakland warm at 75 and just hot

okay after undergoing surgery to remove a tumor. he had a massive lump on his side. the 45 minute operation took place out of water and they used a water filled syringe to keep the fish alive. at one point his heart stopped but he made it and is now making a full recovery at home. i've never heard of surgery on a gold fish. >> me neither. >> it's a gold fish. when we come back -- >> why so many thought it was a good idea
