live from the kgo-tv broadcast center this is abc7 news. >> now at 11:00, finals frenzy. the what are yes, sirs fans are gearing up for a championship rematch. i'm dan ashley. >> and i'm ama daetz. abc7 is the only place to watch the warriors take on the cavs in the nba finals. >> and fans are ready. abc7 news reporter is live in san francisco with the story. katie? >> reporter: hello, dan and ama, the cavaliers are staying at the four seasons. they arrived earlier tonight and warriors fans were waiting for them. they wanted to make sure that lebron james and the cavs knew that this was warriors ground. it wasn't exactly a warm welcome for lebron james and the cavalier. >> it feels like we can give them agents -- a little

tonight and special warriors pre game coverage on abc7 news at 5:00. at 5:30, it is the nba countdown and game one between the cavs and warriors and it begins at 6:00 p.m. only on abc7. >> developing news, a giant sinkhole has shutdown all northbound lanes of i-5 near tracy. crews are working on fixing it right now. cal trans is doing routine maintenance when they found the hole this morning. it was only a foot wide at the time, but as you can see that grew quickly. cal trans plans to reopen the road by thursday afternoon. new at 11:00, a worker died while taking apart a stage from the bottle rock music festival in napa. napa fire says the 35-year-old man was breaking down the vip lounge when the accident happened around 4:30 today. the worker was pinned by a large metal beam. other workers helped free him. he was taken to the hospital where he died. this year's three-day concert over

memorial day weekend soldout. well tonight san jose police want you to take a good look at just released surveillance video of armed robbers targeting the local businesses. one of the men was seen rushing into the store with an oozie-type sub machine gun. melanie woodrow is live with exactly what happened next. melanie? >> what happened was an assault and a robbery. the business that was targeted in all of this is surrounded by homes. some neighbors are wondering why police didn't release this dramatic surveillance video sooner in an effort to p catch the suspect still on the loose. >> surveillance video shows the robbers get out of the silver acura of one suspect is armed with a long barreled sub machine gun. the second suspect is masked. they say the first suspect hit the food employee in the face. he grabs a fist full of cash

as the woman slumps in her seat. the second suspect enters what appears to be an office area. the first suspect helps himself to whatever is in the victim's pocket. >> i was surprised this actually happened during daylight m. >> anna perez has seen the video. the mother of three does not like police did not release it sooner. the robbery happened more than a month ago. >> we have to be aware of what is going on in this city here. there is a school around the corner and another school on seventh and reid. >> they leave with their hands full. employee as -- employees said the woman in the video is doing okay. they hope someone will recognize and call police. melanie woodrow, abc7 news. >> also new at 11:00, a union city motorcycle police officer was injured in a hit-and-run collision in hayward. residents were told to shelter in place pour several hours as officers searched for the suspect in their

neighborhood. they believe he deliberately tried to run the officer over. >> the police chief is under investigation for a suspected it domestic dispute with his step-son that involved a power drill. authorities are looking into whether the chief stabbed his 20-year-old step-son multiple times with a power drill puncturing his lung. he may have fired a handgun during the incident. they called it a, quote, miewch all all -- mutual combat situation and determined self-defense must be involved. >> they could start wearing the body cameras in august. they reached an agreement with the police department that requires the officers to give a statement of fact before screening the body camera video of the police commission will vote on that tomorrow fight. they said, quote, this is a game changer for the san francisco police department and moves us firmly into the 21st century policing. three more guns were stolen from a parked car in san francisco and that's on

top of the weapon stolen from an fbi agent's car over the weekend. leslie brinkley is with us in the newsroom with the effort to get these guns back. >> the good news is the fbi rue covered the -- recovered the gun stolen over the weekend, but not the badge. they told abc7 news that at least a badge can't harm anyone and a gun can. but three more handguns were stolen from another parked car today. guns that police say are likely to get in the hands of criminals. >> broken glass in japan town on gear reand webster at 3:00 in the afternoon. a man who just lived in the city returned from a gun range and parked his truck here. police say a witness saw someone break a window and steal a bag filled with three handguns and amo. >> the person that is committing these crimes is generally not a good person. now you can only assume these gups -- these guns recovered from the vehicle will be used in a robbery or in another violent crime.

>> police say guns in a parked car should be stashed in a lock box secured to the vehicle, but it doesn't happen that way. even an fbi agent over the weekend left his gun and credentials in a backpack on the front seat of his car in alamo square. surveillance video lead them to the home where they recovered the weapon, but not the badge and paperwork. they arrested a suspect in the raid. neighbors who did not want to be identified were shaken up when they heard the flashbangs go up. >> i thought pg&e blew up the transformer. it was crazy. >> the agent who left the gun in his car was visiting from oklahoma to go to the warriors game. thieves are targeting out of towners who leave available and even guns in parked cars. in san francisco, leslie brinkley abc7 news. an abc7 news viewer sent us this video. you can see about two u.s. didden dirt bikers driving erratically cutting off vehicles and driving in the wrong lane of traffic.

as rivers put large sections of fort bend underwater. the flooding in texas is blamed for six deaths. forecasters say the he thunderstorms will increase the risk of flooding into friday as well. bernie sanders is going all out to win california. >> i think we are going to win here in california. >> his last stop was in monterey tonight. earlier he held a rally in santa cruz. he started his day in emeryville talking about health care with nurses. he has been campaigning for more than a week now. in the midst of sanders' campaign blitz hillary clinton has added more stops. she will return to the golden state on thursday for a five-day swing. her campaign has not released details, but we know she will make a stop in fresno. clinton got a boost ever a governor brown announced he is endorsing her. donald trump will hold a rally at the san jose convention center on thursday. he had a heated back and forthwith reporters during the

the upper 90s to the low 1 had you's. along the coast we were quite comfortable. this is part of the reason why. the fog was around and it is a murky view. tomorrow morning do expect foggy areas dense in spots and a wide range of temperatures and triple digit heat for friday and saturday. first thing in the morning the temperatures will be in the 50s. it will be good sleeping weather thanks to the ma you rein influence. the fog will be around for the morning commute and it will hang around well into the morning hours. 8:00 a.m. you will still see the fog along the coastline and then as we head toward the afternoon hours it does break up so we have some patches lingering into the afternoon. here is how your highs will range. gilroy 85 and 87 in los gatos. still warm, 72 in santa cruz. on the peninsula, low 80s for redwood city and menlo park and 79 san mateo.

coast side, we'll keep you the same as today. the fog will be around so in the low 60s. daly city 61. you can see the fog around this time of year. 68 in downtown san francisco. and in the north bay you will be seeing the temperatures on the warm side. mid80s novato, san rafael and 87 in santa rosa. 95 at lakeport and 97 in ukiah. in the east bay 74 oakland and 80 for new hayward and 85 fremont. inland spots, this is where you definitely need to keep hydrated. this is going to be hot. 93 in livermore and 92 fairfield and 96 in antioch. here is what you do need to know about. there is a beach hazard out. in case you are head together coast, remain cool and watch out for a stronger risk of rip currents through thursday evening. this is something you need to be careful of if you are hitting the beaches the next couple days. thurts -- thursday the temperatures will come up. a 30-degree spread between inland and the coast. notice on friday we will see
