trump. the presumptive gop nominee took on the media after questions were raised about his donations to veterans groups. >> everyone said who got it, who got it and you make me look very bad. >> reporter: in january trump claimed he raised $6 million for the vets but trump's campaign manager suggested the total was less. the billionaire just made his own million dollar contribution last week under mounting pressure to release the recipient list. when asked by abc's tom llamas if he had a problem with exaggerating the truth, trump unleashed. >> i'm not looking for credit. but what i don't want is when i raise millions of dollars have people say, like this sleazy guy right over here from abc, he's a sleaze in my book. >> why am i a sleaze? ? you're a sleaze because you know the facts and you know the facts well. >> can i ask fair questions? is this what it's going to be like if you're president? >> yeah, it is. hillary clinton called it a stunt on cnn. >> it took a reporter to shame him into actually making his

contribution and getting the money to veterans. >> reporter: but clinton still has a primary fight to worry about. bernie sanders has been crisscrossing california drawing huge crowds ahead of tuesday's primary. >> if we win here in the largest state in our country, we're going to go marching in to the democratic convention with incredible momentum. >> reporter: the reality clinton has a big delegate lead. clinton got a big endorsement from california's governor jerry brown. tomorrow she'll kick off a five-day swing through the golden state where polls have her and sanders in a dead heat. linzie and kendis. >> all right. it's going to be very important to see what happens on tuesday there in california. kenneth moton for us in d.c. >> thanks, kenneth. a possible third party candidate has been identified as david french. >> yes, he is a conservative writer, constitutional lawyer and iraq war veteran. a source involved in the effort to recruit an independent alternative to donald trump tells abc news that french has had serious discussions about agreeing to run.

french tweeted last night, i'm incredibly humbled by and grateful for the many expressions of support. we want to switch gears now and get to the flooding emergency that is taking place across texas. >> we start northeast of san antonio where floodwaters swept away that jeep which had only been parked for a few moments. the driver had left it there and there was no one else inside. >> wow. >> north of this area officials say the swollen brazos river crested last night more than three feet above its previous record flood level. they say river levels in that area will remain high for up to three weeks. and here is a look at the radar. still plenty of rain coming down in areas of texas that hardly need any more. and now to a stern warning from the state department for people planning to travel to europe this summer. be careful. it warns that several high-profile events could be targets for terrorists including this month's european soccer championships in france,

the tour de france and the catholic church's world youth day in poland. concerns about terrorism in europe have remained high since the november attacks in paris. and back here in the u.s., the tsa says it had a pretty good memorial day weekend after complaints about long lines earlier in may. the average national wait time according to the tsa for screening was less than ten minutes. in tsa precheck lines, it was less than five minutes. ex-cop and convicted killer drew peterson is looking at more prison time. a jury in suburban chicago deliberated about an hour before finding peterson guilty in a murder-for-hire plot. an inmate testified that peterson wanted to have the prosecutor who put him behind bars killed. peterson is serving a 38-year sentence and faces up to 60 more years in prison. and new details are emerging about this weekend's shooting spree in houston. army veteran dionisio garza fired 212 times before a police

sniper killed him, and police believe he was suffering from some sort of depression. they think he acted alone, not as any part of any terrorist group and he left rambling messages taped to the walls of the tire shop where he killed a customer. to our north, thousands of canadians are expected to begin returning home today after almost a month following that massive wildfire. thousands of structures were lost in ft. mcmurray, but 90% of the city remains intact. 80,000 residents were displaced by the fire. they'll move back in phases. still ahead, massive recall. millions of pounds of flour pulled from the shelves. and a new myspace hack. it could be the biggest data breach ever. hundreds of millions of users, even the ones who haven't used the site in years. >> i was going to say, myspace what? plus, a visitor to yellowstone regretting her decision to get close to an elk. wait till you see this.

so, apparently that's a guy driving a stolen front loader and being pursued, this is in anchorage, alaska. police say after stealing it, the man rammed it into a liquor store and stole several bottles. when he was finally cornered, guess what, he failed a sobriety test and was arrested. some new detays in the killing of that zoo gorilla in cincinnati. police are now looking at possible criminal charges against the parents of the boy who fell into the animal's enclosure. the 3-year-old boy is recovering at home after suffering a concussion. the gorilla was killed to protect the child sparking outrage. the zoo officials say they are trying to figure out what can be done to prevent this from happening again.

our cameras actually captured crews already making changes to the barriers at the gorilla exhibit. some california beaches shut down after a shark attack have re-opened. but the section of shoreline in orange county closest to where a woman was bitten over the weekend remains closed. the shark left her with teeth marks that stretched from her shoulder to her pelvis. experts believe a great white is to blame and the size of the bite suggests it was over ten feet long. the victim was swimming more than a mile offshore. part of her training for an ironman competition. scary. a consumer alert this morning. general mills is recalling 10 million pounds of flour. an outbreak of e. coli sickened 38 people in 20 states. half of those victims reporting eating something homemade with flower and some identify ied wondra signature kitchen brands eating raw dough or batter.

no contamination has been found in any of its products. apparently hackers targeted myspace compromising more than 360 million accounts. time, inc. which now owns myspace says the data included user names, passwords and e-mail addresses. the once popular social networking site was founded back in 2003 and later overshadowed, of course, by facebook. hackers could sell that information on, line and it could be uses to compromise other accounts or in phishing scams. when we come back, a scare in the air. ceiling panels inside a plane falling off during flight. plus, the shocked expression on a woman's face, the big surprise that she got in the delivery room. music: "pretty woman" with roy orbison ♪ of course you go all out for date night... ♪

some incredible images after a rough landing caused damage inside an airliner. >> yeah, we're talking about the united airline 767 from houston which bounced on the newark airport runway a couple of times before the pilot aborted the landing but still that caused ceiling panels to fall inside the jet. 9 plane landed without incident further at least about a half hour later as passengers cheered. there were no injuries. >> just that plane. well, in charlotte, north carolina, a man needs to find a new place to live because of the damage his home sustained when it was hit by a bus. there was a driver and 22 middle school students on the school bus when it plunged down a 30-foot embankment. it came to a stop when it hit the house and a tree. the stunned homeowner called for help. >> i need police and medic. a school bus just went careening into my house. >> do you know if any kids are on bus? >> no, i just heard the crash. i'm getting dressed now to go outside. i hear them yelling. >> reporter: the driver and 14

students suffered minor injuries. an investigation is under way to find out why the accident happened. the house has been condemned because of structural damage. so visitors to yellowstone national park are warned to keep a safe distance from the wildlife, and you're about to see exactly why. a tourist tried to take a close-up photo of an elk even as her guide told her that was a bad idea and you see why. the elk knocked her over and after she picked herself back up she promised the tour guide it won't happen again. >> i guarantee you it'll happen again but it won't be her. that literally scared the bejeezus out of her. >> i'd say so. the first rule for visitors on the yellowstone website is stay at least 25 yards away from wildlife like elk. more for bears and wolves and, of course, don't feed the animals. it looks like a suspect on the run from police in anaheim, california, ended up in hot water literally. >> yeah, so officers found the man hiding in a backyard hot tub.
