>> yes, it has been burning for a long time. we still have movement on the scene. s.w.a.t. team took over the scene. we heard several explosions since then. the most recent of five minutes ago. we have not been told of what those explosions were whether it is tear gas or grenade os or we are told law enforcement was able to communicate with the suspect for several hours. at 3:30 this morning, the suspect's phone died. they're not sure if he's still alive. lau law enforcement is not taking any chances. he's showing that he's willing to stay for the long hall with a lot of tear gas in there. we had numerous negotiations with him and he told us he's willing to go the long hall and that's what we are doing. the suspect was asking for

something and they brought h parents at the scene trying to get him to surrender. now, we are waiting for the next step will be for law enforcement. this area is blocked off here, washington and robertson. >> we see people sleep ing in cars because they cannot get anywhere. we'll update you. >> this incident began on wednesday afternoon with a traffic stop. it happened behind an autozone store near fremont and washington boulevard. the driver backed into the car and open fire and hit an officer. >> at one point, he entered the home where he believed to be this morning. a hundred officers from all over the bay area help to look for the suspect. we know they are recouping at the regional medical center

an all night standoff inside the home that you are seeing on fire. >> matt keller has been on the scene all morning long. have police heard from the man? >> reporter: yes, it is been three hours the since they last heard from the man. his phone died so they are not sure what his condition is inside this home. here we are at 6:30. this is what law enforcement was waiting for. daylight, we are getting a clear view of the street in front of the home as this fire continue to burn. we had heard several explosions and more tear gas and flash bangs over the past pohour soor. >> the last explosion we heard was about ten minutes ago. oakland flash team is in charge of movement around the home. >> at about 2:15 this morning.

this fire at the home was big at times. there were big flames shooting up. we are told law enforcement were able to communicate with the suspect for couple hours and at 3:30, they're not sure if his battery died or the water affected his phone. there are area in the home that have not burned and he maybe hiding there. spokesperson says they don't believe it is related todd the suspect. >> this was a house of opportunity for him top flee and hide from police and the people that own this house as far as we know had nothing to do with this, ma'am. oregon a spokesperson says the enforcement is familiar with the suspect. law enforcement is not going to take any chances and have no problems weigaiting him out. we'll keep you updated here if anything changes.

matt keller, abc 7 news. thank you very much. this began yesterday, when an officer tried to stop a man driving the right truck behind the autozone store. he backs in the officer's car and shot the officer. he went over the fence and onto robert avenue where shots were fired again and a second officer was wounded there. >> hundreds officers all around the area came to aid in a search of that suspect. here is what we know of the conditions of the two officers wounded this morning. the first officer to be shot under what surgery is listed in critical condition right now. the second officer was as police detective with ten years on the force. he's now listed in stable conditions. both are being treated at regional medical center in san jose. as we get new development, we'll bring it to you and download our app right now and you will know special alerts on
