back to you. >> we're talking not about the warriors but about complete chaos. that's how you could describe part of donald trump's latest rally in the bay area. as you can see, it got violent. now, this all started peacefully, but once those attending last night's rally started to leave the san jose convention center, the tone really changed. that i tried to surround a large number of protesters. things quickly got out of control between supporters and protesters and even blood being shed. one reporter said he was punched in the air. >> they were hitting on me and spitting on me and stuff. >> police were on hand the entire time, but they never seemed to intervene as punches were being thrown in the crowd. it's not clear why officers did not step in to break up these

encounters. >> a much different scene. mostly peaceful as trump made his way inside. there were a few thousand supporters there. the crowd chanted "build the wall". the rally start this afternoon at 1:00. doors open at 10:00. speaker of the house paul ryan is officially in trump's camp. he sent a tweet saying he'll be voting for trump. talk about the democratic side now, front-runner hillary clinton will be in the l.a. area for four different events there. she's trying to get in as much face time with her supporters ahead of the primary on tuesday. her first event is in culver city and then garden grove and santa ana and then san bernardino at 6:00 tonight. sanders will be at the

ramone used a stolen gun. he shot ramos to steal the cram he was using to take photos of the mural. i.c.e. has no comment on the lawsuit. a former swimmer. a judge sensed brock turner to six months. he could end up serving just three months. his jail term will be followed by three years of probation. prosecutors wanted a six-year prison sentence. a man was charged for making an assault on a lyft driver. he repeatedly asked him to stop making comments but instead he continued leading to a sexual assault. the driver kicked voss out of the car and called police. he was booked into the county jail. this morning the antioch police are asking students to

avoid a popular trail after several students were robbed at gunpoint. at least two robberies have happened since the 21st. most recently a male student was robbed at gunpoint of his cellphone and cash and a female student was robbed last month. santa clara county voters will be asked. yesterday they agreed to put a half cent sales tax measure on the november balance. if it's passed the tax is expected to rake in over $6 million over the next 30 years. the money will go toward fixing roads and improving bus service. a survey revealed 69% would support that tax. that's more than the majority two-thirds needed to pass. coming up on 5:09. let's start in the east bay. 60 in san leandro. 59. hayward, berkeley, 58.

the man who shot two fremont officers. janet o joins us with the new information. janet? >> natasha, the suspect had been off and on parole for two decades. this is the latest mug shot of 44-year-old gerald villabrille. he was a gang member. on wednesday, police say he was driving a stolen truck when he was pulled over for a traffic stop. he then shot two fremont officers trying to get away. he ran to a nearby home claiming to have a hostage which proved not to be true. officers sent tear gas into the home sparking fire and on thursday morning he was found dead inside. his cause of death is now being determined. >> we made numerous attempted to distinguish the fire. thaw were ultimately

state warriors feeling confident after taking game one at oracle arena. they handily beat the cavaliers 104-89 in front of a pick aed house. look at that. the king james can't believe it. the fans digging every moenlt of this. most of it brought on by a brilliant warriors bench outscoring the cavs' bench, 45-10. >> winning three straight to just get here and it taught us a great lesson of how important it is to start a series off on the right foot. >> so the warriors will be at the practice facility at 10:30 this morning. you can see those fireworks following the one victory. they lit up the skies above oracle. fans say they're ready for another warriors championship judging by how the team played in game one.

the relative was an adull. anyone who knows of him is asked to contact the police. the city is looking to crack down on illegal listings that haven't been registered. proposed legislation would find airbnb and other sharing companies a dollar day for each unverified lifting. the full board is expected to take it up next week. the sinkhole that shuts down both directions of i-5 south of tracy will not be open until at least tomorrow. it's between 132 and 133. it started on the shoulder, only about a foot wide. take a look now. it spans almost two lanes. caltrans thinks an abandoned irrigation pipeline may be to blame here. traffic is diverted. no money for moraga.

developing news in texas, four soldiers from ft. hood are still missing this morning after they were swept away by rushing floodwaters on the basin of central texas. five soldiers died. their tactical vehicle was driving over a low creek yosing when it was washed away during a training exercise. five died. three were rescued. and we have new video of the deadly but angels crash. the pilot died after his plane went down outside nashville. the team was practicing for an air show this weekend. you can see the flames and the smoke from the impact. though one on the ground was hurt. the pilot has been identified as marine captain jeff cusp.

he was living a dream and wanted to fly since he was a child. another jet crashed after a flyover of air force academy cadets. it happened just after president obama spoke yesterday. the pilot ejected. the president met with him and thanked him for his service. the ucla gunman plarned to king at least one more professor. the man he did murder was his former mentor. last night a huge crowd held candlelight victim. he was 39-year-old professal william clug. mainak sarkar killed him. he also kill his estranged wife at her home in minnesota. he planned to kill another professor who was not on the campus. a doctor who specializes on treatment addition says his client did not give drugs to
