clinton, bryant gumble and billy crystal. and hillary clinton won the democratic primary in puerto rico. she picked up most of the 60 delegates available putting her closer to the democratic nomination, but bernie sanders says he still has a shot and he will keep fighting until the democratic convention in late july. clinton spoke in sacramento, but she started the day in the bay area. melanie woodrow has more of clinton's visit and the local voters who are already casting their ballots. >> a steady flow of foot traffic at the registrar of voter's office. jay we are still opening up the ballots we received in the mail. >> he voted for senator bernie sanders. >> the idea is shaking up money in politics is really appealing to me. i. >> to his dad, but not to his mom who says she is voting for hillary clinton. >> we all agree that we like what bernie is saying, but we

the former president bill clinton is making a final push for his wife hillary across the golden state. he spoke at a get out the vote rally in los angeles with former lakers players kareem abdul jabar. it will start at hayward city hall at 10:45 and then it is off to the fox theater in oakland just after noon. he will be at marsh elementary school at 2:00 and the richmond art center at 3:45. the last stop is a rally at the joseph leigh recreation center in san francisco. that will be at 5:30. abc7 news was at kris see field in san francisco as crews set up for what is expected to be a big rally for bernie sanders tomorrow afternoon. it will feature music from dave matthews and actors danny glover and people will be let in at 3:30. you must rsvp on sanders' website to attend. trump is taking his news

right to the people. he was in san francisco as volunteers knocked on doors and left fliers behind. the goal is to remind people to go to the polls on tuesday and hope for a high turn out for the republican candidate. >> we want to continue the high voter turnout that mr. trump has been gaining in other states whether it is heavy republican states like mississippi and louisiana or whether it is new york where it had record turnouts. we want to do the same thing in california. >> the group canvass the marina today. right now more than 2,000 firefighters are working to put out 6 wildfires in california. in monterey county a large fire is threatening a hundred homes forcing some evacuations. it has burned 3500 acres and is now 10% contained. firefighters say gusty winds and dry brush are helping it spread. the crew members from alameda county have joined the fight. near los angeles thousands of evacuated residents returned home after major

progress was made to contain a wildfire threatening their neighborhoods. the fire near calabasas is 80% contained now. crews working in steep canyons took advantage of cooler temperatures and calmer winds. daly city is considering a major cut in the fire department and firefighters and residents fear it is going to put community safety at risk. abc7 news reporter lilian kim is live in daly city with that story. lilian? >> reporter: eric, firefighters say when it comes to fighting fires every minute counts which is why the proposed cut could have big consequences. >> people would live there love it. he has lived here for 50 years. >> there are a couple of people that would have died on the spot. >> it is slated to be taken out of service. the move means daly city wouldn't have to pay three firefighters a saving of a

selling services that customers don't need. here is abc7 news anchor dan ashley. >> all of these bay area jiffy lubes are are owned by the same southern california family. just last december they were featured in this glowing article in national oil and lube news. behind the scenes they were already fighting a state accusation that many of their 41 bay area jiffy lubes were cheating customers. fraud of std disseat jie. he is the chief of the california bureau of automotive repair that launched an investigation into the jiffy lube shops three years ago. they found one 05 causes for discipline at jiffy lubes in 8 bay area counties. all part of what the bureau charges is a pattern for the entire franchise. >> to try and get the vehicle and consumer to do a repair on a car that was not necessary. >> it started at a secret auto

lab. they documented the condition of a wide range of cars. one by one those cars were taken to the bay area jiffy lubes owned by the santacolas. >> under cover operators requested an oil change and we see what happened. >> what happened is a long list of phs ises the cars did not need. >> in many instances the operators are being told the fluid we just changed is in bad condition and has debris and sludge in it. we know for a fact that's not the case. >> the state investigators say some of the jiffy lubes per formed services on the cars that the manufacturer strongly does not recommend or recommends avoiding. >> there is a lot of time and energy spent documenting those vehicles. sometimes very complex systems on the vehicle. >> agentses made undercover runs to 37 bay area jiffy lubes owned by them.

in a rocket attack in southern afghanistan. he was covering the troubled region for national public radio. the devastating news came in tonight. they were traveling through the province and the car carrying award-winning photographer and interpreters was hit by shell fire and both were killed. tom bowman was in another car and tonight we are told they are safe and unharmed. the pair was back in afghanistan where they had been many times to cover america's longest war. this attack is a dark reminder of the ever present dangers faced by not just those fighting, but reporting as welch he covered major stories around the world from gaza to the philippines to haiti. >> it is hard, but you can't get caught up in it and become part of it.

and daughter in vacaville. they shared pick -- pictures of him in handcuffs. he drove away, but he came back a second time. the mother took down the license plate number and called police. they found and arrest aed him just -- and arrested him minutes later. look at what police found in the back of a van they pulled over. 4700 dollars worth of energy drinks. police posted the photos. four men and a teenage boy from oakland stole the red bull from several grocery stores across the east bay. all of them are in jail tonight. well, tickets to the warriors game have been too pricey for many people. even some of the cavs players decided not to buy them for family members. not everyone needs a seat to cheer on the team. cornell bernard talked with two fans who were happy just watching the games at home.
