bank to obtain security video of the incident. the police say a 12-year-old boy visiting his family from out of state was stabbed inside this bank on east 14th street this morning. >> i can only imagine what this boy's going through, the shock and scare. >> reporter: a 32-year-old woman stabbed the boy three times, the most severe wound is in his upper back near his neck. police say the woman was either armed with a knife, a pair of scissors or both. >> the wound was deep and it will require surgery. >> reporter: police say the woman was initially demanding money from customers. she robbed one customer who was at the bank to make a cash deposit of a few hundred dollars. >> she got enraged and walked over to the boy who was sitting in the chair peaceful waiting for his family member to complete their meeting they had there at the bank when she stabbed him from behind. it was unprovoked.

>> reporter: the bank had two unarmed guards inside. the boy is in stable at children's hospital in oakland. police say the woman who is now in custody may have also hurt herself. the woman is facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon but depending on the location and severity of the child's wound those charges could be upgraded to attempted murder. abc 7 news. in fremont squatters may be responsible for a fire at a vacant house. huge flames were shooting from the home. squatters have taken over the home several years ago after it was abandoned. that house is a few doors down from the standoff of a man accused of shooting two fremont police officers. >> investigators announced the suspect in that standoff shot and killed himself inside that home. one of the officers who was shot is in critical condition and the other officer's condition is improving. the co owner of the casino

game so far in shark's franchise history. if they lose they head back to pittsburgh. shark fans do not want to see that happen and hopefully it will not. every game has been close with all three being decided by one goal, two of the games went to overtime. the good news is the sharks are 8-2. the bad news is star four will once again miss the contest because of a lower back injury. still the win in game three shark's fans are feel confident and they think they know the formula for victory. >> you have to come out and skate and you have to not let them out of their own zone and score. they need to first score. >> i've been a season ticket holder since '95. i was here for detroit games in '94 when they shocked the world

breeze. we still have mainly sunny skies but there's a presence of a few low and mid level clouds and breezes are fairly normal except at fairfield where we have gusts up to 33 miles an hour right now. 23 mile an hour winds but it's not a windy day, just a cool breeze. the 24 hour temperature change, 15 degrees cooler in livermore than it was this hour yesterday. looking at some low clouds drifting up over the north bay hills. it's 62 in san francisco and oakland 66 and 80 morganhill and 59 at half moon bay. the low clouds are getting lower. it's 71 degrees right now in santa rosa. nevada 73 and 77 at livermore. here is a look at our fog cast animation starting at 7:00 this evening. we'll see the low clouds and fog pushing well out across the bay

and inland by about midnight. 5:00 in the morning the visibility will be low and there may be some wet spots from the spotty drizzle. low temperatures early tomorrow morning will be in the mid 50s and later in the day we'll see the low clouds and fog pulling back to the coast line and we'll have mainly sunny skies over the bay and mainly sunny skies over inland areas but the fog and low clouds will linger at the coast. let's move along and look at what else lies ahead. high temperatures tomorrow will be right around 60 at the coast. we'll see low to upper 70s around the bay and low to mid 80s in the inland areas and of course the fog and low clouds will surge back across the bay tomorrow night. that's been the pattern. here is the seven day forecast. we'll have a gradual cooling trend into thursday and temperatures will drop off on friday and highs will be below

democratic and republican, not everyone at these clinton appearances knows if they're voting for clinton yet. >> i'm having a problem. i have a pillow talk tonight and decide what i'm going to do tomorrow. >> reporter: these multiple campaign stops across the bay area are aimed at getting those undecided voters to the polls on tuesday. abc 7 news. with the california primary tomorrow we're getting last minute questions from voters. we have some election facts you need to know to be sure your voice is heard. >> if you haven't registered to vote it's too late because you needed to do that 15 days before the election but for those who have registered here are important facts to know. the polls are open until 8:00 p.m. you can take two hours off work without losing pay to vote but you need to give your employer two days notice. you may bring up to two people to help you.

a new controversy here in california. this involves his campaign hat. an elementary school is banning th this 9-year-old boy from wearing the hat. the school says the hat poses a safety concern. >> the vice principal came up to me and told me to take my hat off because it brings negative attention from other students. >> after three days of refusing to remove the hat logan was cents home early. his fight came to an unexpected end over the weekend while his dog chewed up his hat while he was swimming. president obama took a swipe at donald trump without mentioning the presumptive republican nominee by name. mr. obama said we will continue to welcome immigrants and refugees into our nation including those who are muslim. just yesterday trump stood by his earlier call to temporarily bar all muslims who are not

citizeni citizens from the u.s. criminal charges will not filed against the parents of a boy who fell into a gorilla enclosure at the cincinnati zoo. >> reporter: no criminal charges for the terrified mother of the 3-year-old boy seen here in this now viral video from the cincinnati zoo. >> she was attending to her children by all witness accounts and the 3-year-old just scampered off. >> my son fell in with the gorilla. >> reporter: the mother who made that 911 call according to investigators did not act recklessly in the moments before her son fell into the exhibit. >> had she been in the bathroom smoking crack and let her kids run around the zoo that would be a different story but that's not what was happening here. >> quite frankly i don't know

area stores are owned by the same family. last december they were feech y urd in this glowing article in national oil and lube news, but behind the scenes were they fighting a state accusation that many of their 41 bay area stores were cheating customers. >> fraud, false and misleading statements and deceit. >> reporter: pat is the chief of the california bureau of automotive repair which launched an investigation into the shops three years ago. they found 105 causes for discipline at shops in eight bay area counties. all part of what the bureau chaz charges is a pattern. >> trying to get the consumer to do a repair on the car that wasn't necessary. >> reporter: the undercover operations started at an auto lab. technicians documented the condition of a wide range of cars to make sure everything was working properly. one by one those cars were taken to the stores owned by the

family. >> our undercover operators request an oil change and we see what happens. >> reporter: what happened according to state documents was a long list of services the cars did not need. >> many instances our operators are being told the fluid that we had just changed is in bad condition, has debris in it, sludge, things like that and we know for a fact that's not the case. >> reporter: state investigators say some of the stores performed services on cars the manufacturer does not recommend or strongly recommends avoiding. the accusations are so extensive they took two years to put together. >> there's a lot of time and energy spent documenting those vehicles, sometimes complex systems on the vehicles. >> reporter: agents went to 37 stores owned by the family. the documents show 26 locations did at least one unnecessary service with charges that added as much as $240 to the bill. some shops are accused of doing
