>> abc7 news begins with breaking news. the breaking news is in oakland. sky 7 is over what was a possible kidnapping in the area around alcatraz avenue. >> our reporter is on the scene gathering new information. she on the phone. laura, what happened? >> police in oakland are briefing the reporters. would understand one female and possibly two were abducted in the area of alcatraz. witnesses saw them being abducted from a house.

that launched an investigation between berkeley and oakland. i have spoken with an oakland police representative who said that they believe they have recovered one victim. it is not clear there is only one victim or whether there could be two victims. they are also concentrating their efforts on a house in the 1000 block of 63rd street or 65th. sky 7 is showing us the house. they are focusing efforts on one house. there was a car stopped, a silver vehicle, that could be part of the investigation. a lot is going on in two cities, berkeley and oakland. it is right on the border here and we have two, possibly two females who were abducted. witnesses observed them this morning and we believe one them has been recovered safely. >> laura any word of anyone taken and custody? >> yes, kristen, they have one
