news. >> celebration mixed with protestses. tonight stanford students are vowing to make sure a message against sexual assault is heard loud and clear at this weekend's commencement following the sentencing of a former stanford swimmer. good evening and thank you for joining us. i'm ama daetz. >> and i'm dan ashley. angry over brock turner's six-month sentence will be front and center at sunday's graduation ceremony. >> alyssa harrington is live with the protest planning that is underway. alyssa? >> ama and dan some people are staging a protest. >> a graduation tradition is the nontraditional start to the ceremony. the wacky walk. this is video from 2005. students deck themselves out in costumes. this year many will beholding signs with a powerful message. >> i will say one of the signs we have is how will you teach your son not to rape? >> she is one of the

organizers of the wacky walk protest. it is in response to the brock turner sexual assault case and rape culture which she says is a big problem on college campuses. >> i think it shows how many graduating seniors are supportive of the movement to stand with survivors of sexual assault. >> they congratulated the class of 2016 and asked the community to stand up against rape culture. >> there are plans to fly a banner over sunday's ceremony with the message, persky must go, showing outrage to the judge in the case. petition organizers delivered nearly one million signatures to a judicial oversight group demanding his removal for giving turner what many consider a light sentence for his crime, just six months. >> it is a pretty high bar for this chicks to remove a sitting judge. it really has to be misconduct. here you have a judge who imposed a sentence and it may

have been the wrong sentence, but the probation department recommended. >> abc7 news. new at 11:00, a lock down at an army base has been lifted after reports of an active shooter was false. he was on lock down for three and a half hours. that source tells abc7 news that someone heard the gunfire from soldiers involved in a training exercise and called 9-1-1 thinking there was an active shooter on the base. also new at 11:00, three people have been arrested on suspicion of running a fentanyl operation out of the office. it is 50 times more powerful than heroin, the same substance that killed prince. they used it to create fake oxycodone pills. about a does dozen people have

continues through noon on sunday. the winds will gust 30 to 35 miles an hour bringing the humidity down and that's why there is a fire concern. the temperatures are in the 50s and the 60s. a live look from the east bay hills camera, and you can see just how beautiful it is looking clearly across the bay. a beautiful vantage point. sunny and warmer tomorrow. a fire danger will be increasing. cooler weather next week. on the subject of cool, tomorrow morning with mostly clear conditions temperatures in the upper 40s for our coolest north bay valleys. most other area in the low to mid50s under mainly clear sky. as we head throughout the day i want to show you what is happening with the wind. this is an on shore wind off the cool ocean water at 8:00 a.m. watch the arrows switching direction out of the northeast and the north from the latter part of the morning.

this north, northeast wind is what we call a down sloping wind and it drives out the atmosphere. that's what brings us the warmth. when you have the relative humidity of 15% at fairfield and 18% concord you notice they are lowering the humidity and that's where the fire danger comes in. keep that in mind. we will see the high clouds filtering the sun for the early part of the day. the rest of the day will be brighter. we are looking at 90s inland and 60s coast side. a warmer saturday afternoon on tap will if you have outdoor activities it couldn't be better. it is not going to get too hot. 90 for the warmest spot. 88 in livermore, 78 in oakland. low 80s around san rafael and fremont and palo alto. 78 in san mateo. san francisco is 70. 66 in half moon bay. you take a look at the forecast and the giants take on the dodgers. the uv index will be running high. 60 degrees at 5:00 p.m.
