walk, a display of fun that will be taking on a some better meaning tomorrow. >> at a time like this it's important to keep in mind the ways that our campus has to continue to improvement and ways that campuses across the nation need to improve. >> reporter: stanford has been thrust into the national spot loit over the last week. judge aaron persky sentenced brock turner to only six months in jail for sexually assaulting an unconscious woman. parents aren't surprised to hear about san bernardino's protest. >> i think that's what stanford has taught these kids, is to speak up and have courage. and i love that about this university. >> reporter: also on sunday, a plane will fly over stanford with a banner that says judge persky must go. the same image will appear on bike billboards throughout the stadium and throughout campus. former student body adviser will be taking part as well.

>> this has been the most important journey for me, realizing the extent of this issue on our campus and also my own understanding of how this impacts people. >> and that's the goal among protesters, to get more people to understand the impact of sexual assault. at stanford, lilian kim, abc7 news. we have developing news tonight in san francisco where police chased down and arrested a woman on bart tracks. abc 7 news was at the palos read station where it happened. police say the 26-year-old suspect had a felony theft warrant. she ran into the station through the emergency stairwell and onto the tracks. police say she grabbed an officer's gun, bit him before she was arrested. a driver escaped with minor injuries after his car plunged into a creek in oakland. you are look at video tweeted by ookt oakland firefighters. the highway patrol says he drove onto the creek from a parking lot next to interstate 880 near

the coliseum complex. he went to a hospital to be checked out. a driver cashed into a pool in sonoma today. it happened just after 2:30 in a backyard pool at riverside drive and petaluma avenue. a witness saw the crash and the vehicle sinking then dove in to help the driver get out. the driver had minoriers and was taken to the hospital. it took a crew 45 minutes to pull the car free. abc7 news was in san francisco's north beach after a tree broke apart and fell onto the roof of the bank of america building. police shut own the sidewalk. the annual north beach festival was taking place nearby. there were no reports of any injuries. pg and e was called out to inspect nearby power lines. an outpouring of grief in south san francisco after two young people died in a car crash and police suspect another person of murder and drunk driving. ablz 7 news was there earlier this evening where flowers and candles marked the spot of last night's tragedy along airport

boulevard. ing see how the force of the wreck mangled the suspect's honda. officers believe it was going at least 80 miles per hour in a 35 miles per hour zone. the honda hit another car, overturned and struck at least two trees before the victims, ages 18 and 21 were ejected onto the pay. san francisco police made another arrest connected with the violence following a donald trump rally last week. 24-year-old anthony yi was arrested yesterday. he is charged robbery, assault and battery in three separate incidents. police skpept more arrests soon. presumptive republican presidential nominee donald trump has fired back at a high-profile critic within his own party. thousands attended a rally in florida today. trump responded to comments made by mitt romney, the last gop candidate to win his party's nomination. >> principles that suggest racism or xenophobia, misogyny.

it's allowing the person to vent. >> reporter: back in the classroom, this lieutenant who runs the cit program for the sfbd describes a tactic for dealing with someone in an altered state. >> what do you see? that focuses on one thing only, what do you hear? >> san francisco police, how may i help you. >> reporter: when police respond to a crisis call a scene is most likely to turn deadly within the first 90 seconds. this psychologist teaches the new recruits to slow down. he sat down with us to review the recent police shooting of a homeless man in san francisco. >> the first words are what is going on? and then wait for a response. stop closing distance and watch ow slowly they are walking, which is good. but that's where the good ended and the bad started. >> reporter: within 30 seconds, police fire live rounds, killing the man. police say that as they approached, he moved towards them with a knife in hand.

mush tash the kid looked good striking out the first batter he faced. he went five and two thirds innings. one mistake, jay bruce had a two run shot which gave the reds a 2-1 lead. bailey gloops one to center. holt with a diving catch to end the inning. reds win 2-1. the a's lost seven straight. in philadelphia the u.s. took on pair guy in the copa america tournament. in the 27th minute off the feed from zardis dempsey makes it 1-0 u.s.a. pair guy threatened in the 82nd minute but guzan preserves the shut out. the u.s. wins 1-0 and advances to the quarter final. tomorrow we will find out if draymond green will play in game five on monday. >> before we leave you, a final
