orlando. this morning officials are painting a more complicated picture of the gunman who killed 49 people. f.b.i. agents are hearing from witnesses that omar mateen was a regular at gay clubs including pulse nightclub. a man said he had seen mateen inside the clip at least a dozen times. witnesses say he used gay dating apps raising questions of whether mateen was good although he target add gay nightclub. a new interview his father denied that and said that his son probably visited pulse nightclub to scope out scene for the shooting. [ inaudible ] of property so i don't know what happened. >> officials believe that mateen 's wife may have known something about attack before it

the investigation at pulse nightclub has shifted today. f.b.i. technicians have completed the work on the outside of the club and they are start on the inside where cell phones, purrs and clothing of the victims still remain. they set up a tent to conceal any evidence they take from the scene. >> we got an update on the people would were wounded this morning in orlando, there are 12 victims in the hospital and six are grave, six in guarded condition, and as for those we lost, we are helping they range from 18-50 including a recent high school graduate and accountant, a barista, people we encounter each day. some who lived to tell about it are sharing stories including norman getting ready to leave pulse nightclub when he heard the gunshots. he told "good morning america" that he crawled into a bathroom and the gunman followed. >> the only thing i was able to do the last few signatures mom, dad, i have been shot, and i love you guys.

>> the shooter hit him four times and he was able to military-style crawl into a crowded bathroom stall where he waited for first responders. he was released on monday from the hospital. >> san francisco woman is flying to orlando for the funeral of her former girlfriend who died in the shootings. she started working at pulse nightclub as a bouncer and moved from hawaii to orlando to take care of her 85-year old grandmother. star and morris remained close friends despite living nearly 3,000 miles apart speaking each day even in the hours before the shooting. >> sent her a text that said i miss you and she wrote me back, the last words "i miss you, too." i am thankful i have that and she knew i love her and miss her. >> she believe her friend helped save lives. >> we hear from the victims being treated at the hospital. patience carter was shot in the
