live, from the kgo news center. >> frustrations boil over for steph curry and the warriors to repeat as champions. the dubs must win game seven sunday night at oracle. >> 19,000 fans were screaming their lungs out at a warriors' watch party. we're on 30 minutes early to bring you special coverage of the warriors' loss in game six of the nba finals in cleveland. we'll show you a few of the low lights. there were a lot of low lights to choose from. the warriors were held to 11

democratic presidential candidate bernie sanders made an unusual live speech from vermont tonight. we have the details. >> senator sanders did vow to work with the democratic presumptive nominee, hillary clinton. but he did not drop out of the race. vermont senator bernie sanders delivered a speech with all of the hints of a concession -- >> this campaign has never been out any single candidate. to those relatively few elected officials, who had the courage to stand with us, i say thank you. >> reporter: he even vowed to work closely with his democratic opponent and presumptive nominee, hillary clinton. >> i look forward in the coming weeks, to continue discussions between the two campaigns. >> reporter: senator sanders did not bow out. he did not concede so he can maintain momentum for a bigger

walnut creek, burlingame, campbell, and all the bay area. this is abc 7 news. >> an investigation is under way into an explosion at a rochester, new york, gas station. take a look at this. it threw that driver to the ground. the manned a just filled a gas container and put it in his car when something created a spark. the container exploded. the 44-year-old man dropped to the ground and rolled to try to put out the flame. he suffered second and third-degree burns to his body. static electricity may have caused that spark. >> horrifying. tonight, the owner of a gun store said an employee called weeks before the orlando massacre. they're convinced that man is omar mateen. today president obama went to orlando to comfort the victims

heartfelt -- heartbreak out. you know, a little bit of healing. >> people left messages like, stay strong. and we pray for you. the cards will be sent to orlando later this week. great britain is mourning a member of parliament tonight, shot dead in a rare case of gun violence in the u.k. she had been meeting with her constituents to campaign to keep britain in the european union. the attacker was arrested by police a mile away. in parliament, she was a champion for the rights of syrian refugees. she was married and leaves behind two young children. highway 101 is shut down as firefighters battle a growing firefighter. the sherpa fire has spread to 1,400 acres. crews are having a hard time containing the fire because it's

precipitation. most spots will be partly cloudy tonight. future fath future weather, there's the moisture offshore right now, moving onshore into the north bay, where a chance of a sprinkle does linger. but the chance will fizzle as you head into the daylight hours. and by the afternoon, a blend of sunshine and cloud out there. cool, though. 65 for san francisco. 70 for oakland. 75 in san jose. 70 in fair field. and our warmest spot, 80 degrees in antioch. that will change as we go into the weekend. mid to low 80s. not impressively hot. watch what happens as we go into sunday, father's day. the warm front that's building to our south and west -- south and east, rather, that's going to move into the bay area. a lot of 90s start to pop up. and the 90s will hang with us. we turn hot next week.

the funeral for a fallen san jose police officer will be held next week. sky 7 h.d. was overhead earlier today, as a procession escorted michael kathirman's body. >> we're hearing from one of the good samaritans who tried to help him after his motorcycle was hit. >> the story from san jose tonight. >> reporter: they came from all

parts of the bay area and beyond. a gathering of law enforcement, grieving the loss of one of their own. tenth and horning tuesday afternoon, the officer was on his motorcycle when a minivan turned in front of him. the 34-year-old crashed into it and later died in the hospital. >> bleeding bad. he's hurt. >> reporter: he rushed to the officer's side. another good samaritan performed cpr. >> yu see a police officer down -- it's not a pretty sight. anybody down. but you see a police officer in the line of duty, nothing i'll never forget. >> reporter: he was the 13th sjpd officer to die in the line of duty. >> i saw the officer bike down --

out of my truck in two seconds. >> reporter: sky 7 h.d. was overhead, as officer katherman's body was transferred to a funeral home in los gatos. along the way, firefighters and first responders paid their respects to a man who dedicated his life to serving others. at police headquarters, a makeshift memorial continues to grow, as community members come out to say good-bye. a fitting display, a heartfelt tribute. officer katherman loved his family, his community and his job with the san jose police department. a public memorial will take place on tuesday morning at the s.a.p. center. >> a somber tribute to the six victims of the deadly balcony collapse in berkeley one year today. the unveiling of a plaque in memory of the victims at the u.s. embassy in dublin. a tree was planted in their

honor. five of the victims were irish citizens in the united states on summer work visas. a balcony collapsed just before 1:00 in the morning. the victims fell, as you may remember, five floors to the ground. seven people were injured. investigators found dry rot in the beams of the balcony that gave way. prosecutors decided not to file criminal charges because they're investigation failed to show gross or reckless conduct. still ahead, the new tribute on the bay bridge. and believe it or not, it's been 13 years since the animated film "finding nemo" hit theaters. a look behind the scenes at

>> four boys that got sucked out to sea by a rip current are safe tonight, thanks to members of thirdeye blind. the front man posted this picture on twitter. two were surfing on the coast and saw the boys far offshore. they paddled out to help them and got them back to safety. >> happy ending there. what a story. it's hard to believe but it's been 13 years since the animated film "finding nemo" found its way to the big screen. and this weekend, "finding dorrie" opens in theaters. >> we have a look at disney's pixar animation studios. and what it took to revive those characters. >> where did you see them last? >> i forgot. i suffer from short-term memory

the team was a on a field trim. >> all of the animators held a real pacific octopus. >> and the tougher task, making hank relatible. >> animation was trying to figure out what his personality is. how cartoony can he be? >> no more talking. i don't like talking. >> the mouth was a big exploration for us. a real octopus mouth is right underneath him. right in the center of the tentacles. >> putting it under that flap of screen in front, made it act like a mustache and aged hame little bit. >> designing hank took two years, a model so complicated, that the tentacles were drawn by hand. in emeryville, jonathan bloom, abc 7 news. >> fascinating. in. don't go away. abc 7 news at 11:00 is next. >> i come close.
