have had inappropriate contact with the underaged girl in the oakland sex scandal. the review involves several officers who joined the force from other police departments. and in oakland, city councilman no noel gaellos. >> there are people that are starting to talk that are engaged in prostitution and are coming forth to say, yes, this happened, that happened. >> with officers? >> with officers. >> councilman gallo says he has given the information to the oakland police. we have information recording the two fremont police officers shot in confrontation. one has been released from the hospital. the second continues to improve. the suspect shot one of the officers after a traffic spot and shot the other after a

standoff. police fired a tear gas canister into a home. his body was found inside. breaking news from japantown. a multi-car accident has closed gary boulevard at steiner street. one person had to be rescued from one of the cars involved. police are investigating it as a hit-and-run. the hit-and-run driver took off. gary boulevard will be closed through the area as officers investigate. still ahead, a hero in the south bay. a good samaritan who risked his life to save another man. we'll tell you about that. there was a lot of noise coming out of it. it was about to explode or something. >> have you seen this wedding ring? a woman who lost it at a bay area airport is just hoping that a good samaritan will step forward. let's check on weather with drew. >> ama, temperatures were below

the owner of a florida gun shop said he called the fbi five weeks before the orlando nightclub shooting after omar mateen tried to buy 1,000 rounds of ammunition. the gun shop own did not check his i.d. and did not have his name when he called authorities. in orlando, today, president obama met with families of the victims to offer condolences. many had a message for him. >> and they asked, why does this keep happening? and they pleaded that we do more to stop the carnage. >> both president obama and vice president biden placed white flowers at a memorial to the

victims. in honor of the massacre victims, 49 lights of the bay bridge will be in dedication to the victims. the remaining dedications will take place throughout next week. a santa clara man is being called a hero tonight and with good reason. after saving a total stranger from a burning car. >> it happened on saturday in a shoppingparking lot. >> reporter: the car was on fire and the driver was incoherence. people were standing around watching, and filming on their phones. only one person jumped in to help. >> somebody is in the car. >> reporter: this is when he realized the seriousness of the situation a few yards ahead of him. while others burned away from the burning car, he never

stopped moving towards it. he grabbed the man behind the wheel, pulled him out and saved him. >> no one is pulling him out. he's going to die. why not me? >> reporter: there's lots of reasons why not this father and husband. it was a fire growing and spreading. >> i felt the heat. it was a lot of noise coming out of it. like hissing like it was about to explode or something. >> reporter: the man in the car was drunk. he may have been revving the engine before the fire started. after that, he just wasn't able to get himself out. >> he had his eyes open. and he was sort of looking around. but you could see it was sort of tom brady. >> reporter: the car owner is charged with suspicion of driving under the influence and arson. but none of that matters. >> i'm not going to leave somebody in a burning car. it's impossible. >> reporter: he also shied away from the term hero, which is what people are calling him.

the sheriffs department are working on getting him a plaque. a southern california couple needs your help to find a $3,200 engagement ring left in a women's bathroom at a san jose airport. the costa mesa resident just landed when she took her ring off to wash her hands. she hurried off to a waiting uber car and left it behind. when she realized her mistake, she raced back to the bathroom but the ring was gone. >> it had to be a woman who took it. someone that knew the value of it. it could have happened to them. would still not want to turn it in. >> the ring is ensured. but she says the original holds a lot of sentimental value. >> three men who punctured a dam

has been ordered to pay damages. a fourth man wasn't part of the settlement. prosecutors say the men were drunk and high when they punctured the dam along alameda creek. the four served jail sentences f let's turn our attention to the weather forecast. a little storm rolled through. >> very light sprinkles confined to the north bay today. and we'll see that threat for a little wet weather. my doppler h.d. showing light showers. we widen out the picture. and you see a ribbon of cloud cover offshore. a little more moisture. the chance is there in the next 6 to 12 hours that there could be a light sprinkle north of the golden gate. we'll take you insioutside. a fair amount of cloud cover over san francisco and along the coast. away from the coast right now, we have partly-cloudy skies. the forecast will call for a

chance of a light spring until the north bay. friday will end on a cooler-than-normal note. over the weekend, our temperatures will do a 180. we're going to warm up quickly turning hot inland for father's day. right now, comfortable cool in most spots. 64 in san jose. 63 oakland. 62 concord and half moon bay. everyone will drop into the 50s. under a mixture of stars and clouds. you notice there is future weather picking up on the chance of a spring until the north bay. plan the early morning hours. start off at midnight. 5:00, 6:00 in the morning, north of the golden gate, we have a chance of a light sprinkle. and the chance diminishes as the sun comes up. in the afternoon, we call it a blend of sunshine and cloud cover. 70, the high in oakland.

74, napa. and antioch coming in at 80 degrees, actually below normal for this time of year. headed to oakland coliseum to see the a's game, first pitch, 6:35 p.m. the light jacket, 66 degrees. as the game wraps up, temperatures falling into the upper 50s. future tracker temperatures, as we jump into the weekend. a couple 80s on the board. we call it warm. we will turn hot for father's day on sunday. that's when the heat cranks. we go to the mid-90s inland. the accuweather forecast, once again into the 90s through the weekend. that warming trend begins on saturday. father's day, looking nice for dad. sunshine and mild temperatures. summer begins monday. and the warm temperatures happening. >> that's not too bad. thanks, drew. the outdoorsman in chief is making a trip to california.
