day. a growing sex scandal is not going away, involving multiple officers who may have had sex with an underage prostitute. some believes the city council shares the blame. >> what about sexual exploitation of minors? every one of you remained silent. >> reporter: alameda county d.a. nancy o'malley is considering various charges against many officers involved. >> one of them is statutory rape for when she was a minor and one is engaging in commercial sex and paying for it. >> my question to you is why aren't you angry? >> reporter: a coalition of community groups is calling for account -- for greater accountability. we asked this question. >> do you feel the mayor needs to step down? >> i feel like we need to fix the problem. the fact that she is appointed multiple chiefs and then none is really a problem. >> i share their passion to reform our police department

and really rebuild the community trust in policing. >> she tells her critics that she is not going anywhere and has no time line for hiring a permanent chief. in oakland, cornell bernard, abc7 news. >> tonight the abc seven eye team has learned there may be more fallout in a case handled by an oakland police detective. he was put on leave for letting his ex-girlfriend type up his police reports. now allah alameda county wants all cases hammed by the detective reviewed and possibly dismissed. >> we have to get to the bottom and find out which reports were authored by him and which were authored by her. either way it brings into question his voracity and credibility as a police officer. >> sergeant james michael gant let his girlfriend type up police reports according to what his own attorney told bay city news. the one-time lead homicide investigator worked dozens of high row file -- profile cases and one was the murder of oakland dog walker.

a transcript of sergeant gant's testimony last your raises several questions. gant said he took numerous witness statements and conducted several interviews. it is unclear what material he provided to help his girlfriend help him write the reports. but gant seems to surprise both when he produces hand written notes he took during an interview with a key witness. one defense attorney pointed out, i don't have those and nor does the district attorney and nor does the defense council because they were not provided in discovery. a few minutes later gant is asked, did you turnover your notes from your interview with the witness to the district attorney? he replies no because i couldn't find them. gant tells the court he found them last night. tomorrow gant's role in the investigation of the murder case is likely to come up at a hearing in oakland.

a slight dip in the heat and we are tracking a hot weekend in the works. plentiful stars out there and we will see a lot of 50s across the board. oakland 58 and in san jose and dropping to 56 in vallejo. after midnight we will have a few high cloud building along the coast first thing on wednesday morning. but i do anticipate the high clouds to really break down and everyone is going to see a mainly sunny day on the way for wednesday. another warm to hot day as well. 71 in san francisco and go to about 80 in oakland tomorrow afternoon. 88 in san jose. we are still rather hot inland. 98 in fairfield. palo alto up to 87. the future tracker temperatures as we jump ahead to thursday, here is the cool down i'm talking about of the instead of the midto upper 90s and then going into the upper 80sand lower 90s, 60s along the coast and a lot of 7s around the bay -- 70s around the bay. the warm air comes back in and we are jumping back into the 90s inland.

70s to low 80s. as we start off it the weekend the hot temperatures come back. triple digit heat near antioch. even oakland into the low 80s and along the coast we are in the upper 60s to the lower 70s. the heat continues to rise into early next week. here is the accu-weather seven-day forecast. we have patchy areas of low clouds along the coast. otherwise lots of sunshine. on thursday there is a little relief, but it is short lived by friday and especially into saturday. there is the hot weekend. it remains hot. you look at monday and tuesday and the numbers continue to climb. in one week we could be going back into the 90s on the bay. >> thank you, drew.

a father in kansas has become a viral sensation after agreeing to watch his 9-year-old daughter's doll, abbie. he is a truck driver and posted these pictures of the doll having fun at work with him. here she is playing in wheat and she enjoyed a healthy lunch of soda and a slim jim. he says his daughter sent instructions all day on how to care for abbie. sweet. >> looks like she turned out
