of two new lawsuits by gloria allred. >> police say the male teacher posed as a girl and tricked high school boys into sending him naked pictures. >> we're live with the developments. david? >> reporter: the two new lawsuits are details that classes taught at gilroy high school may have been subjected to sexual explicit videos and verbal harassment and the school district may have been in a position to prevent it from happen. the complaints by two under aged males students of the teacher at gilroy high school. it alleges he showed videos with sexual content and used language so graphic, attorney gloria allred and colleagues would not say them outloud. >> such graphic language, it's frankly, i don't want to say it. she's not going to say it.

>> reporter: one girl stepped forward after her mother saw a questionable text. she reported it to the school district in october, 2014 he was allowed to continue teaching. the legal team says the two victims could have been spared if the victim had taken action th then. >> but for the failure of the school district, these children would not have to suffer the way they're suffering today. >> reporter: the lawsuit is seeking damages for emotional distress and negligence. >> the last thing a parent expects would be for a school district to ignore a warning. that a teacher posed a danger to children. >> reporter: they claim the teacher gave failing trades to coerce them into after school tutoring. >> we have three lawsuits so far

this, is not the end. a grass fire burned two acres in a cattlefield today. a viewer showed a large plume of smoke billowing from the dry brush in the field that started at 12:30 taking an hour to get under control. firefighters are here to keep an eye out. the cattle were not hurt. and a house fire insanity kwa rosa left a person dead and another injured a woman managed to get out. the cause of the fire is under investigation. the santa clara county district attorney announced he's going to push a bill to make it tougher for, in his words, the next brock turner.

he vic lee is live with the story tonight. >> reporter: we're at santana row. an event called walk a mile in her shoes is starting as you can see. it's an event sponsored by the ywca to help prevent sex abuse and sexual assault and domestic violence. now, today, district attorney jeff rosen is putting in a bill to push for tougher legislation against sexual assault convictions. the victim's emotionally charged 12 page impact letter. santa clara county district attorney says it started a revolution. >> we're hoping to change hearts, to change minds. and to change the laws to protect the next emily doe against the next brock turner. >> reporter: brock turner, the former stanford swimmer,

convicted of sexual assault. the victim was unconscious from drinking too much at a party. the judge sentenced turner to six months, a sentence that angered victims' groups and others. a sentence carries a mandatory prison sentence, when the victim is conscious. that is not the case when unconscious. >> we'd then have the same consequences for sexual assault of an unconscious person. meaning mandatory prison. >> reporter: others want the judge removed from the bench. and others are going to the ballots to recall the judge. >> i think the answer is changing the judge. >> reporter: this petition supports the judge, saying removing him for a controversial sentence destroys judicial independence. deputy public defender does not

support the bill. >> the statutes ta -- have been vetted in a slow, careful manner. this is not. >> there will be a bill next week in sacramento. vick he, abc7 news. a poll finds two thirds of santa clara county voters want to recall the judge. 81% found the sentence too lenient and a majority believe it was a sign he is not a fair judge rather than a one time error. police busted two dozen drivers in san francisco for not yielding to pedestrians this afternoon. officers pulled over drivers who didn't let pedestrians mark in perfect areas. eig eight officers handed out 3 or 4 citations ea each. a rapid change of leadership in the oakland police department, four people in nine

days complicates the investigation in the scandal that involves sex with an under aged girl and mishandling of reports. >> laura anthony spoke with a former opd chief about what's happening. we'll begin with inside into one of the scandals. >> reporter: it's been reported opd sergeant gant had a woman type up a report. today, a source close to the sergeant says he knows his side of the story after he received racist texts. the scandal moved over to alameda county court today. the defense attorney wants to know if the sergeant, the primary detective is something to change the case. >> what is concerning is that i have received no information regarding allegations against the sergeant except for through

the crime. he's representing mario floyd. >> i don't know if that means transcription as in word by word of statements or i'm going to trans late notes. >> he says he had a friend type up the statements but he says the sergeant is on administrative leave and the source believes opd is retaliating against him for filing a complaint in 2014 after repeating these racist texts. he named lieutenant jones in the complaint along with several other investigators.

the source says he filed a similar complaint in 2015. in an e-mail statement a police department spokesperson writes the police department does not provide details regarding personnel matters. in oakland, abc7 news. and our team coverage continues with insight from a former police chief who left the job three years ago. laura anthony joins us live. laura? >> reporter: she is shocked and saddened by what is unfolding here and wants to know how it happened under a federal monitor, jordan thinks that monitor should bear some of the responsibility. >> when you mix and give people
