san francisco. 41-year-old heather wilson was killed while riding her bike through golden gate park. jason was riding behind her and saw the collision. he came back to the site today and left flowers. >> i didn't see her until i heard an impact. i looked up and saw the bike tumbling head over heels. must have been ten feet in the air. the fact this is a safe haven for bikers and runners and families and anyone is a complete tragedy. >> i ask the public and anybody who was around during that time to please submit to the police department any information that you have. what you saw, what you heard on that because we have to hold this individual accountable. >> other witnesses say that the speeding driver at golden gate park was trying to pass slower traffic when the car hit the bicyclist head-on. that vehicle was found about a mile away, and police say that it was reported stolen. they have not tracked down that

suspect. the mayor says they are dedicating money and resources to vision zero with the goal of preventing any traffic related fatalities in the city. reporting live in san francisco, elissa harrington. >> thank you. >> unfortunately, another cyclist death today. this in pleasanton. a woman was riding southbound on valley avenue when she was hit by a driver going eastbound on stanley boulevard. it was just after 7:00 this morning when this collision happened. the intersection was closed for hours. the cyclist died at the scene. she has not been identified. the driver is cooperating with police. a pedestrian is expected to be okay after getting hit by a bus in san francisco this morning. it happened at market and ninth street in the middle of the morning commute. this is a very busy area. a bus hit the person, it's unclear who is at fault. muni said the injuries do not appear to be life threatening. >> president obama is in the air

and due to land in the bay area in the next half hour or so. david louie is live at moffett field with what's happening now. >> everything is in readiness at the moffett federal air field. the noise you're hearing is from marine one, the helicopter that the president will transfer to after air force one lands here. the marine one will then take him on to san francisco. standing on the tarmac here with us this evening are people who are waiting for him. now, the president left joint base andrews in maryland about 12:22 this afternoon. given about the five-hour flight time that it takes to get here, he should be here just after 5:30. he was accompanied by the national security adviser susan rice, the deputy national security adviser, ben rhodes, assistant to the president, david seamus, and deputy chief of staff breckenridge. live at the airport, you're looking at people on the tarmac in a fenced in area.

what they're doing is waiting to greet the president. many of them are either relatives or spouses of federal employees. a few of them are political friends of the president. and of course, they're also going to be hoping to shake hands with him. whether he will come to that particular area, we don't know yet. one father brought his 4-year-old son matthew here, hoping to give the president a high five. so we'll see whether or not that happens. also here standing by are some elected officials including the president of the santa clara county board of supervisors. from here, the president will take marine one, head to san francisco, where he will stay for the night. we're live at moffett. >> very good. thanks very much. we'll track the president's progress as he arrives. >> president obama is here to attend the global entrepreneurship summit at stanford. >> hundreds of entrepreneurs and investors are trying to change the world through innovation. >> chris nguyen has more.

he's accused of battering a male hospital contractor who had been napping and woke up after being touched. ramirez was later identified and turned himself in to authorities. >> in the east bay, police arrested two men accused of an attempted burglary in arinda. officers spotted them trying to burglarize a car this morning. police used a taser to bring down one of the men. they say the suspects picked a home close to b.a.r.t., robbed the home, and then escaped on b.a.r.t. police are warning residents about a spree of home burglaries this week. four robbery attempts happened in moraga and two in arinda. >> critical evidence in a vallejo kidnapping case will not be thrown out. that's the ruling from a federal judge tonight. vallejo police initially called the kidnapping a hoax, but it wasn't. melanie wood row is in vallejo. >> for the first time, aaron quinn's mother and brother saw

matthew muller in person. he is accused of breaking into a vallejo home, drugging quinn and his girlfriend before kidnapping hoskins. >> the law enforcement response has -- were almost equally traumatic for them. >> they saw because after huskins turned up, vallejo police called the kidnapping a hoax. >> to go from this terrible, violent ordeal to then being accused on international media of being liars. >> an accusation that may have stuck if it weren't for a later dublin home invasion. dublin police bypassed the locked phone by calling 911, eventually leading them to the south lake tahoe home, where they found muller and evidence linking him to the vallejo kidnapping. >> if it hadn't been for the dublin police, matt muller would still be out there. >> the warrantless search of the phone violated his fourth amendment rights. the judge disagreed, saying muller didn't have a reasonable expectation of privacy when he broke into the home.

11%. they say pg&e's gas system is massive and aging. the obama administration is coming to the aid of california farmers. $48 million in grants have been awarded to farmers in the west to help conserve water and energy amid this drought. at least 11 states will share the grants. it's unclear how much california will receive in itself. the money will help water providers and agriculture producers do more with less water on private land. >> the presence of plague has forced the closure of a popular campground at lake tahoe. it will be closed next monday through friday to give workers time to use pesticides at the site. plague is naturally present in california, and is a disease that can be spread by flea bites. the forest service reminds us next to feed chipmunks and squirrels and never touch sick rodents. >> now take a look. a new gray wolf may be roaming in northern california. state official wildlife

all right. so that's live doppler 7 hd. let me go inside my area where i can advance the graphics and show you winds gusting up to 38 miles per hour at sfo. 30 at fairfield, and the 24-hour temperature change shows about 4 to 10 degrees warmer at this hour in most of the area loengzs than yesterday at this time. looking across the bay, you see temperatures 67 in san francisco, 80 in mountain view. 61 at half moon bay. clear skies over the bay from mt. tam. 87 right now in santa rosa. 86 at fairfield. inland areas are pretty warm at the moment. we have a beach hazard advisory in effect until early saturday. strong rip currents are a possibility. these are the forecast features. warmer pattern the next several days. near triple digit temperatures inland this weekend. some linger into next week. tonight, we see low temperature mainly in the low 50s and a little fog forming near the coastline. here's the fog cast animation, starting 7:00 this evening, the fog will move locally across the

believe. congresswoman from palo alto area. in the special greeting line at the foot of the stairs is san jose mayor sam liccardo, also the president of the santa clara board of supervisors. they were kept inside moffett field hangar until the very last minute and brought outside. apparently, the president's plane, air force one, was helped by very favorable winds that got him here faster than they were anticipati anticipating. the president is taking his time now and chatting with the elected officials from the south bay, going down the line, spending a little time with each one of them. and then, of course, he will be making his way to air force -- to marine one, rather. at some point, he may also come over to the waiting crowd that's behind a fence line, perhaps to have a chance to talk with them as well. the president is here, of course, for a major international conference, as you have been mentioned, kristen and
