making news in america this morning -- inside the attack, new surveillance pictures show the suspected suicide bombers at the airport in istanbul. this as new details emerges as the hero cop took out one of attackers and the victims being laid to rest. a convoy in the crosshairs, new video this morning of hundreds of isis members wiped out in seconds by an american strike. a bicyclist killed by a grizzly bear near a national park. what we're learning about the victim this morning. and a dramatic crash, a car driving right through a hair salon nearly hitting people inside. hair salon nearly hitt a good thursday morning to you all. we begin in istanbul where

funerals have begun. for some of the people killed in airport terror attack. >> raw emotion at one funeral for one woman who was an airline engineer, she was one of the 42 people killed in tuesday's attack. >> some landmarks were lit in the turkish flag overnight. meanwhile, the top of new york's empire state building was actually dark to honor the victims of that attack. there are also new developments in the investigation this morning. abc's molly hunter covers the region and is tracking the latest for us. good morning, molly. >> reporter: good morning. overnight raids in turkey, police have raided at least one apartment where at least one of the attackers was believed to have been staying as the investigation heats up today. still no claim of responsibility. new details this morning, the play by play of the deadly terror attack at istanbul's airport. the three attackers arriving in a taxi, including this man -- wearing a winter jacket on a summer day. unable to get through security,

they take guns out of their suitcases and start shooting. abc's terry moran at the airport. >> the attackers got out of a taxi here at the front of the airport where the first layer of security is. they were spotted and scattered. one heading down that way, opening firing and detonating his explosive. the other making it through the terminal. the third going downstairs where they were waiting for rides. and detonating there. >> reporter: in the confusion acts of bravery, this video shows the seconds before an extraordinary takedown. one of the three attackers shot by a police officer. the killer's gun sliding across the floor. the officer approaches. the officer then runs for cover as the bomber detonates his jacket. that police officer is being called a hero, he's recovering in the hospital after getting shot. he said he didn't feel any of the bullets hit him.

and this morning, the faces of some of the 42 victims beginning to emerge. a 28-year-old airline employee laid to rest yesterday. and we'll continue to learn more about those 42 victims, no americans named at this point. but that death toll could certainly rise as more than a hundred remain hospitalized. diane, kendis. >> all right, molly, thank you. meanwhile, cia director john brennan is among those blaming isis for this attack. >> security measures remain in place here in the u.s. counterterrorism officials say all this comes as they're gearing up for the fourth of july weekend. isis has claimed that fighters will earn ten times the rewards if they carry out attacks during the holy month. >> there's some progress to report in the fight against isis. air strikes against an isis

convoy, that convoy was fleeing the city of fallujah. the pentagon confirms more than 250 isis fighters were killed. more tough talk from donald trump. he blamed the rise of isis on hillary clinton. trump said that the group was formed during her tenure. and is now worse than ever. he also called for stronger u.s. military action. >> isis is looking strong. it looks like they're winning. we have to give them a big, fat, ugly defeat. we have to defeat them fast. >> well, despite trump's tough stance, our latest poll shows voters trust hillary clinton more to handle terrorism. as for mrs. clinton she spent part of the day yesterday raising money behind closed. she held a fund-raising luncheon in san francisco, where tickets went for as much as $25,000. speakers included actress jamie

lee curtis and the president of planned parenthood. president obama has wrapped up the so-called three amigos summit in canada. >> the president and his counterparts from canada and mexico addressed climate change, by getting half of the electricity from clean energy sources by 2025. they also discussed freer trade, terrorism, and canada's parliament gave president obama a standing ovation. after his speech they broke in chant, you can hear it there slightly. >> the president launched a direct attack at donald trump. abc's lana zak is in washington with that side of the story. >> reporter: good morning. it was an indirect direct sort of attack against donald trump. he didn't mention him by name. but the person he was talking about was in fact clear. in a self-proclaimed rant in front of canadian prime minister justin trudeau, the president

accused the presumptive gop nominee of working against the economic opportunity like someone like trump is an opportunist or pop list. >> they don't become a populist because they say something controversial in order to win votes. it's not the measure of populism. that's nativism. that's xenophobia. or worse. or it's just cynicism. >> reporter: the president cautioned voters against gravitating toward a candidate like that. he went on to say people like bernie sanders deserve to be called a populist e because he genuinely campaigned for socials. so far no comment from donald trump on the president's rant. not even on twitter. the president and hillary clinton will start campaigning together next week in charlotte, north carolina.

kendis, diane. >> that's lana zak live in washington. one more note from summit, the three leaders tried to wrap things up with a handshake photo-op. well, it didn't go quite as planned. >> prime minister trudeau gets caught in the middle. he tries to shake both hands at the same time. president obama tries to reach to pena nieto. it got awkward. twitter now dubbing the three amigos handshake. they figured it out at the end. trudeau just went with the embrace and let the other two shake hands there. still ahead -- the quarterback who just signed the biggest contract in the nfl history. and caught on camera -- an out of control car plows through the front window of a hair salon. plus, police pursuit. a man fleeing on a go-kart? fleeing on a go-kart?

so this is a bizarre scene out of the san francisco bay area today. police chasing a go-kart down a freeway in oakland. the man who captured it on video actually says the scene is not all that unusual. apparently a bunch of go-kart riders take to the roadways every now and then there. no word on what happened when the cops caught up to that particular driver. and we have some new details into the investigation into the crash of egyptair flight 804. the flight data recorder indicated that there was smoke and intense heat inside the cabin. they're hoping to get more information from the cockpit voice recorder, which is still undergoing repair. seven children and an adult had to be rescued from a stuck roller coaster in oklahoma city.

the coaster stopped in its tracks about 150 feet in the air. firefighters climbed their way to the top, fitted everyone with a helmet as well as a harness and walked them to safety. federal officials want to know how much of the hand sanitizer is absorbed into the bloodstream and the long-term effects of daily use by women and children. the fda said there's no indication that the products are harmful. nothing is being pulled from the shelves. well, hollywood is making a move toward increased diversity. they have invited nearly 700 new members. among those on the list are actors idris elba, america ferrera and brie larson. if all the new members accept the academy will become 27% female and 11% nonwhite. >> interesting. >> yeah. when we come back -- this is going viral now, the video of a

winds and hail. dozen of power lines were knocked down and thousands of people were left in the dark. some repairs not expected until later this morning. the storm also brought hundreds of lightning strikes. >> expect more of the same in the southwest this morning. stretching north montana and east to missouri and arkansas. some other trouble spots include the great lakes, the mid-atlantic the gulf coast and most of florida. if you're flying, it's pretty consistent, storms and lightning could cause delays in chicago, kansas city, denver and new orleans. now to what's being called the body slam on bourbon street. it's getting plenty of attention after it was posted online. >> the video shows an officer taking down a man in new orleans early saturday morning. police say that the guy was taken down wasn't listening to the state trooper or even his own brother when they were asked to leave. our station in chicago reports the guy who got slammed down was a doctor. his lawyer said he didn't want to leave without getting his credit card back from the bar. he's been issued a court summons for public intoxication and

other charges. a mountain biker killed by a grizzly bear near the entrance to glacier national park in montana. investigators now say the 38-year-old victim may have surprised the grizzly triggering the attack. wildlife and law enforcement officials are searching for that bear. the deadly attack happened about a mile from a popular campground. the victim was actually a law enforcement officer with the forest service. a wisconsin woman charged with negligent homicide in the case of distracted driving, has been found not guilty. they said she was sending facebook messages on her phone right before she crashed her suv in 2013. her daughter and two nieces were killed. her lawyers blamed winter road conditions and bad tires. owners of a chicago-area beauty salon say it's lucky no one was killed when the car you're about to see slammed into their store, police say the 83-year-old driver hit the gas instead of

the brake. one worker was pinned by the vehicle. about 30 people were inside the salon at the time. no one seriously hurt. a frantic 911 call about a plane crash turned out to be a hallucination. a washington-state man made that call said he had been in a small plane in oregon when it went down. >> are you able to safely get out? >> no, i'm pinned in. >> are you able to look out the window, are you able to see the wing from where you're at? >> no, i can't see anything. >> believe it or not, he actually imagined the entire thing and blamed the episode on ambien. he expressed serious concern because he only took half a pill because he had trouble sleeping after a recent surgery. some notes from the sports world. starting with michael phelps qualified for the olympics again. he first last night at the
