street near coit tower when he got disconnected from his equipment and fell. firefighters brought that man down. he was conscious the whole time. the rescue took two hours because of the rough terrain. >> he fell on an area where there's a lot of large, loose rocks and boulders. we need to make sure that everybody including the victim is safe. >> the man did suffer injuries. he went to san francisco general hospital. families looking for help paying for child care in santa clara county will have to wait a few days. caseworkers are walking the picket line to begin a two-day strike. matt is live in san jose with the latest. >> reporter: this protest has gotten rowdy at times. the police department was called out here 30 minutes ago. they're just keeping an eye on things. the protesters just want child

overnight. the justice department has agreed. protests continue. >> we're waiting for -- >> i will, sir. >> reporter: this video was seen more than a million times before being taken down on facebook. it shows a traffic stop turned deadly in a town just outside of st. paul, minnesota. 32-year-old castil along with his girlfriend and her child were pull eed over. the beginning of the incident is not on tape but you can see him shot, bloody and a woman in shock. he was transported to the hospital and later died to his injuries. >> i wanted everyone in the world to know no matter how much the police tamper with evidence, how much they stick together, no matter how they manipulate our mind to believe what they want, i wanted to put it on facebook and go viral so the people could see. >> reporter: the victim's mom spoke out this morning. >> he had a permit to carry.

protests continue in louisiana over the death of another black man in baton rouge just a day earlier. video shows another angle of the deadly shooting of alton sterling. you can see one officer drying his gun and moments later shots fired. an officer removed somethingñi from sterling's pocket. sterling was selling cds outside a convenient store when police responded to reports of man with a gun. sterling's family is now demanding answers. as other departments are reeling from this week's police shooting, san francisco chief is praisingçó his officers. officers negotiated with the armed manage threatening to harm himself. they fired bean bag rounds to get the man to surrender. the man is being treated for
