neighborhoods going on. people locked out. police arrested one of two suspects here this is video from sky 7. that suspect on a stretcher. we don't know how he wound up on the stretcher. there were reports there was a shoot-out. no confirmation from police as to whether there were shots fired or not. that resulted in this. a house to house search as they look for awe second suspect who police describe as a hispanic male adult 24 years old, 5'11" with long dark hair wear a black shirt. this drama did not begin in calistoga. that was windsor over the mountain earlier this afternoon when the suspects allegedly robbed a bank and shot a 55-year-old guard at least three times. we have no word here about his condition. police tell us there were at least two ak-47s involved. here in napa now, police are canvassing neighborhoods looking

innocent by tander. for all, bail was set at $1 million. >> because of the public safety factor in this case, the victim is still outstanding. pa. >> reporter: it's a race against time to find her alive. i'm leslie brinkley, abc7 news. a danville resident faces accusations of trafficking child pornography on web. police arrested 27-year-old nicolas thurston at his home today. a grand jury indict him last week. prosecutors claim he ran a website that showed images of a 9-year-old engaged in sexual acts. they suspect him of breaking into the cloud accounts of women and girls he knew to try to steal revealing pictures of them. a south bay man faces 15 counts of grand theft in what authorities are calling a sweetheart scam. joel huynh tricked numerous women into giving him more than $200,000. so far, seven victims have been identified. investigators believe there may

be more. the san francisco lawmakers are poised to give final an probable to what will be the strictest ban in the nation on styrofoam products. news reporter carolyn tile ser live outside city hall with details on this. >> reporter: well, dan, this is the kind of paper-based product that city officials believe is safer and more environmentally friendly than what's on the chopping block, styrofoam. it's called polystyrene but most people know it as styrofoam primarily used to keep drinks hot or cold and packing insulation. it doesn't decompose easily and can crumble creating an environmental challenge. >> it's a problem from litter on streets and in the storm drains and into the bay and into marine environment. >> reporter: since 2007, san francisco has prohibited food takeout containers made of styrofoam. now the president of the board of supervisors london breed

wants a ban and the sale of other products from coolers to egg cartons and packing peanuts. alternatives like this are available. >> we need to to be focusing here in the city and county of san francisco on getting to zero waste. we made a commitment to do that. >> reporter: the legislation was unanimously passed on the first go round and needs a second vote before it goes to the mayor. but the styrofoam industry may sue. a representative told me the ban will not reduce waste. since it will copy to enter the city at the same rate as before. but breed hopes the measure will start a nationwide trend. a couple of san francisco grocery stores we delked with say they've already pulled the containers off the shelves and for those that haven't, there's still time. >> we will pushed that back to start july 1st, 2017. >> all other styrofoam products would be banned beginning january 1st.

in san francisco, carolyn tyler, abc news. livermore police hope to solve two mysteries tonight. one who owns an injured cat and two, who shot it with an arrow. take a look at the cat which is recovering. in a pet hospital. detectives say someone found him injured on honey suckle road last thursday. the cat has black fur, medium sized. the person who shot the cat could face animal krutty charges. berkeley may lose its only emergency room and hospital by 2030. tonight the city council will vote whether to ask sutter health to keep it open. abc7 news is live at berkeley hall with what's at stake here. >> reporter: hey, dan. in about an you're hour, the nurses association will rally on steps of berkeley city hall. the city council will meet tonight to formally oppose the planned closure.

let's update that breaking news now in the north bay. a shelter in place order is in effect in calistoga as police search for an armed robbery suspect accused of shooting a security guard during a robbery. as you look from live sky 7 hd, you can see this parking we're where authorities are using this as a staging area in their search, and that helicopter that police helicopter there a key part of that search. we're told one suspect is in custody but authorities are searching for another man considered armed and dangerous after what began as a robbery near the safe way on brooks road south of windsor turned into this search. we'll continue 0 keep you updated as you look live from

helping a missing girl find her family. the department sent out this tweet today showing the girl with her mom and the deputy who reunited nem. the deputy says the girl and a mother went on a walk and somehow the girl got away from her mother and made her way to highway 1. she didn't speak english. deputy used his iphone and google's translation software and called a relative in denmark to help communicate with account girl. finally they were able to call mom. a happy and safe ending. planning is under way 0 transform a former reservoir into one of san francisco's most beautiful parks. this is the site of the old san francisco reservoir. right now it's overgrown with weeds and sections blocked off. but the area has spectacular views of the bay and the golden gate bridge. for years residents held fund raidsers to transform the space into a park. now it's close to reality. plans for the 4 1/2 slight include sloping lawns and a

a powerful telescope is revealing the interior of the orion nebula in greater detail than before. it is 1300 light years away. new pictures reveal it's home to far more objects than thought. there are failed stars, possibly even a planet. astronomers say they may have to rethink their models of its stellar evolution. it appears the mystery of vincent van gogh's infamous ear incident has been involved. the answer was at uc berkeley. berkeley's bancroft library holds hundreds of documents that document the life of that famous artist. one special document reveals van gogh did not cut off only his
