. >> now at 11:00, the driver of a red pick-up truck is shot and killed while stopped at a red light, prompting a massive manhunt. the driver and his passenger are in custody. >> the gun used in that shooting is still missing. it hoopd on meekland avenue in alameda county. >> we have the developing story. >> dan, the sheriff's office tells me who they say is the male shotter and female accomplice. what they don't have is the gun. the sheriff's office is calling the fatal shooting an ambush. they say the man driving this pickup truck was about to turn left when another man walked up and shot him multiple times. >> striking and killing him.

that suspect, the gunman fled on food down the railroad tracks. >> he and a woman believed to be the driver are in custody. it's unclear what, if any connection the suspects have to the victim. >> this woman's backyard is being searched for the gun. >> they're going through making sure they don't smell anything funny. >> it was so sudden, the victim's car was still in drive. they had to physically go put the car in park to keep it from rolling apart. >> a victim driving behind the victim helped identify the suspects they have in custody. >> it's scary. neighbors say this type of violence is unusual for this area. >> knowing that they could shoot one of my kids by accident or something. you don't know, you know. you know, you're scared knowing that this could happen here.

>> investigators say they will examine surveillance video from nearby liquor stores including hank's. abc 7 news. >> police have installed cameras to end the rash of freeway shootings. the video from every camera will be archived. police are not releasing the locations because of course they don't want them vandalized. this is the first agency to put up cameras in contra costa county. >> police flooded a neighborhood looking for people responsible for dramatic smash-and-grabs early this morning. >> two suspects were wearing gloves. pretty bold. >> did violent break in this morning in rockland was caught on the store's surveillance cameras. authorities were able to identify the license plate. they found the car a few hours later. police and federal agents are

neighborhoods, fogging. trucks with vector control drive around spraying pesticides into the air meant to prevent the spread of virus but some say it's poisoning more than mosquitoes. >> we have had neighborhoods poisoned over and over again all summer every summer. >> they're calling for an end to fogging. they s say this is contaminatin their neighborhoods and that insects, animals, and people are at risk. >> some of the symptoms people have told us is respiratory problems, itching skin, grogginess, headache. >> extremely low dosage, extremely low volume. >> they called it a safe and effective method that's been used for more than 30 years. they understands the concern but says the fears are exaggerated. >> we're only putting out three fluid ounces or three tablespoons of liquid per acre.

parts of the coastline. that's because -- because of that fog is why we ended up in the 60s. if you head far enough inland you were in the upper 90s,89 san jose, 96 santa rosa. 71 san francisco and 90 in san rafael. tap on a few degrees tomorrow and you will see the triple digits. right now it's 50 degrees in the bay but all the way up to 81 in antioch. microclimates we're used to seeing from the camera. is this a beautiful shot or what? this is from pier 15 looking down town. we're looking at a heat alert for our inland areas coming up tomorrow. now, look at some of our inland-east bay values. these will be some of our hot spots. i want to point out antioch, fairfield, a hundred degrees.
