treatment as part of his sentence. it was actually a probation officer who recommended this to be added. the judge persky agreed as part of the sentencing much the former stanford swimmer will receive periodic drug testing. there is no objection from the defense. this morning, it is just latest in what has been a controversial case. the 20-year-old former athlete received six months in jail of a sexually assaulted a strung and unconscious woman at a fraternity party and convict on three counts of felony sexual assault. there have been repeated claims that turner lied to probation officers about his drug use and party habits before attending stanford so the decision could be an indication of that. lies that many felt were overlooked by the judge persky in the original court proceeding. the judge has been met with an outcry of protests that the sentence was too lenient and there are two more efforts to call judge persky from the bench

as a result of the case. a petition on change.org has more than 1.2 million supporters and this is also a recall of the headed by a stanford professor that will likely only happen next year because of a technicality and i called the registrar office and no pier work has been filed to collect the signatures. as in turner, when he is released from jail that will likely happen in early september, he is going to be required to do three years probation, participate in a number of sex rehabilitation programs and he will have to regular store as a sex offender for life. >> thank you. passionate people in pleasanton are speaking out about propped tennis courts that takes away their splice of green space at the tennis and community center. our reporter joins us. it looks like their provides are heard. for now.

i will tell you when coming up. >> hot temperatures and high winds are fueling a massive wildfire in southern california, and this new video showing the view from above was taken at the sand fire that has burned 35,000 acres and moving north. it is only 10% contained. 20 homes have been destroyed and mandatory evacuations are in affect for 10,000 others. fires found a ma's body inside a burn out car and they believe he may have died trying to escape the fire. >> the soberanes fire in monterey county is growing and now almost 15,000 acres. that is a jump of close to 4,000 acres since midnight with several roads closed in highway one and caltrain expired the mandatory evacuation orders to include several small means. the fire has destroyed six homes, 1,600 structures are threatened and the fire is only 5% contained. >> it is off to a bumpy start on day one of the democrat democrat. much of the negative attention
