abc7 news at 11 is next. >> good morning, i am matt keller, christian will be here later. in san francisco, police are in stand off with a 13-year-old autistic boy right now near the park. melanie is at the scene. >> matt, this started with a familiar dispute at 9:00 last night. that is how long the stand off with san francisco police has been going on with a number of police vehicles and police officers taking a wait-and-see approach outside of the house.

this is a 13-year-old autistic boy. police say he is armed with a knife. again, it started with a family dispute at 9:00 last night and right new the police officers are outside trying to figure out the very best way to communicate with the young man. we are told they are talking to the boy's therapists to try to figure owe the best way to talk to him. they want the by did come out on his own. he is inside of the house, alone, to come out on his own, and to put the knife down. the officers say that they are taking a wait-and-see approach for now. >> new details this morning on a wildfire bun north of big sur in monday dry burning now more than 19,000 acres. this is video of the soberanes fire. the flames are only 10% contained. 1,600 homes are threatened, and machinetory evacuations are in affect for 300 homes.

>> the smoke from the soberanes fire is spreading across the bay area. jessica joins us from palo alto. it is bad, right, jessica? >> matt, it is hazy in palo alto. it is worse in san jose where we were earlier this morning. we are seeing hazy conditions across the peninsula. it is going to be bad across the bay area, bad air quality and i got off the phone with h officials who say today is a double whammy: smoke and smog. >> there were signs it would be run two for residents in the peninsula. haze from the large wildfire, again, from the fire could be seen and smelled and help. eight air is thicker and i can feel the thickness of the air. i can tell the difference. >> today the concern is more widespread. officials warn folks not do strenuous exercise outdoors, air quality is poor. smoke reached south lake tahoe

>> in france police have arrested one suspect in the deadly standing of a church priest. isis is claiming responsibility for the attack in the normandy region. a nun said the 86-year-old priest was celebrating mass and the attackers forced him to his knees and slit his throats. they were shooting video of the murder as it happened. police shot and killed the to people what carried out the attack. >> los angeles police officer is recovering after being shot in south los angeles overnight. according to the "los angeles times" two people were shooting at each other when the officers arrived. the officer opened fire and was hit in the last arm. he is expected to survive. a suspect died at the scene and another was taken into custody.
