4:04 am
what was the moment that seemed to bring him to tears? >> reporter: yeah, so, you know, we really have seen a lot of tears from sanders supporters this week who are so passionate about his campaign. last night we saw the vermont senator become very emotional. now, this moment, nothing touches us maybe like our parents and the desire to make them proud or maybe he's sad about not being, you know, nominated for president, but what set it up, what teed it up was his brother who was announcing the votes cast by the overseas delegation. his brother lives in the uk, and he was talking about how the sanders parents died young, had a tough life and how they would be very proud of their son, bernie sanders, and what he has achieved. sanders appearing to tear up and get very emotional in that moment. kendis and diane. >> a special moment there, no doubt. lauren lyster live for us in philadelphia. lauren, thank you. >> should give you this note of what took place outside the arena. there were several arrests yesterday as hundreds of protesters hit the streets of philadelphia.

4:06 am
say 61 speakers, no mention of isis? politifact says that true. >> well, that could be, but i mean there are a lot more speakers to come. >> reporter: following that interview we have to tell you last night several speakers did mention isis including former presidential candidate howard dean, new york representative joe crowley and former secretary of state madeleine albright. you can hear much more of george's interview with joe biden later on "good morning america." diane and kendis. >> all right. we'll look out for that. thank you, adrienne. an issue hanging over the convention is the hacking of the democratic national committee's computers. now, experts say there is growing evidence of the involvement of russian intelligence agencies in that hacking. >> they claim a smoking gun and the hacker's malware code was an ip address that had been previously attributed to russian hackers. donald trump is denying suggestions that russians may be working to get him elected pointing out that in a tweet, he has, quote, zero investments in russia. and president obama and tim kaine speak tonight, which you'll see live at 10:00 p.m. eastern on air, and you can
