deadly stabbing spree in the heart of england prompts new fears of terrorism. tonight the attacker is under arrest as authorities zero in on a motive. i'm dan ashley. >> i'm ama daetz. this happened around 10:30 local time in london. >> cornell bernard is monitoring developments and is here with more. cornell? >> it is an area packed with hotels and tourists and the suspect's mental health is being looked at, but terrorism remains a possible motive. the brutal mass stabbing attack happened in central london. one woman in her 60s was killed when police say a 19-year-old mangan attack -- man began attacking people near the museum. phil black was there. >> it happened after 10:00 in the evening in london on a thursday night and in a station that is -- in an area that is in east central london. it is busy. it is a social night in london. you can expect people to be in this area. they are not huge crowds.

the north bay have arrested a drug and alcohol councilor accused of drugging and sexually assaulting a teenage girl. investigators say the 38 -year-old met the girl through a social media app. katie is live at the police department with the latest on this investigation. katie? >> dan, they say it started on a social media app and that the two communicated on-line for a couple days and then agreed to meet at his petaluma apartment. they went to police with allegations of sexual assault. >> it is troubling. it really is. >> this woman didn't want to be identified. she has daughters and lives down the street from brett's petaluma apartment. >> i was frightened. i called my mom and said make sure you are home with my girls. >> the 38-year-old faces charges of drugging and sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl he met through a social media app. police arrested him tuesday after searching his apartment. >> not only found evidence,

but also admissions to the crime. >> he works at muir wood adolescent and family services as the lead recovery counselor. he has extensive experience helping adolescents and he worked with foster children. the facility's executive director said he has been suspended pending the investigation. in a statement thisy say "all of our employees are thoroughly vetted and undergo a pre employment screening process that includes fingerprinting called live scan. police are taking this opportunity to remind families about on-line safety. >> i encourage the parents of minors to know what their children are doing on-line and they are not accessing applications that will make them the victims of predators. >> in petaluma, abc7 news. a northern california man is making a heart felt plea after someone vandalized his infant son's grave. john o'donnell noticed two statues were missing from the grave in lake county.
