street. and they do tell us they had been victims over a longstanding dispute over parking spaces and mysterious acts of vandalism on their parked cars and some say they received threatening notes. they believe they know who is behind this and say the bombing is a validation. 32-year-old fire department paramedic was charged with detonating a device. police sources tell abc7 news he set it off in a planter box in front of a neighbor's house. this neighbor says she heard the explosion. >> a lot of police were here talking to neighbors.

>> one resident saw the suspect. a search turned up explosive materials. another neighbor, police say, reported that his home had been vandalized that night. and at least half a dozen cars had tires slashed. most did not want to go on camera for fear of retaliation. they don't know who slashed tires and vandalized the home but they do tell us there has been a hong standing battle with novello over parking spaces on the street. the fire department says they're aware of arrests and is working to investigate the matter. james novello owe is in a

non-working status. a sacramento man shot to death by police has filed a lawsu lawsuit. he says it shows police using unnecessary force. police contend the 50-year-old raised a knife at them. two officers shot him several times. attorney, john buress believes the man was emotionally unstable and police should have handled it with more care. >> it is clear when a person is mentally impaired you do not shout and give them commands. the approach is to be calm. in daily city, there are details on a crash that put a 12-year-old girl in the

hospital. on wednesday, a driver hit the girl in the crosswalk. the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police. a dock worker who slipped and fell on a slip is back at work. yesterday, sky 7 was over the ship in the dog patch neighborhood in san francisco. a spokesperson says the worker injured his knee and left the hospital last night and reported back to work this morning. >> the mayor of stockton is giving his side of the story. abc7 news is live in stockton with the story tonight.

he's done nothing but embarrass people. >> as he left, he refused to answer questions about whether he mans to resign. police are looking into a deadly motorcycle accident near city hall and asking for help finding witnesses who saw the incident near milpitas boulevard. it's not clear why the motorcycles went down. a motorcyclist was badly hurt, but survived when ejected off of his ride. sky 7 was over the scene on the i-80 sky way in san francisco. the accident involved two cars and a motorcycle owe, which landed upside down as you can see there. the cyclist was taken to the hospital. the accident jammed a drive into the city.
