national history has been made at the hifrpices. an african american woman won an individual medal in swimming in olympics. gold medallist simone manual goes to stanford. >> this center produced 80 olympians, accomplished 50 gold medals but everyone is talking about one lady that did something remarkable. commitment, drive, discipline are just a few words from this gold medal winner. the 20-year-old simmone manual is the first african american to win a gold medal in swimming in the olympics. >> she just turned 20. it's a lot to process but she was the 11 that did research trying to find african american
