>> now at 11:00, an extreme case of keeping up with the kardashians. tonight a bay area woman is under arrest, accused of cyberstalking reality tv star kris jenner. good evening and thank you for joining us. i'm ama daetz. dan ashley is off. federal authorities arrested 36-year-old christina elizabeth bankston at her newark home this morning. she is accused of cyberstalking, hacking and harassing kris jenner. cornell bernard is live in newark tonight with our developing story. cornell? >> ama, this bizarre story said to have taken an emotional toll on kris jenner and her entire family, who live hundreds of miles away from where the cyberstalking originated. neighbors say fbi agents were at this newark home thursday and arrested 36-year-old nursing assistant christina bankston, charging her with cyberstalking a tv reality star. >> creepy.

>> reporter: the feds say "keeping up with the kardashians" star kris jenner and her family were stalked and harassed by bankston for six months. a relative shared this clip of bankston riding a roller coaster, professing her love for kris jenner. according to the 15-count indictment, bankston used these aliases to contact the jenner-kardashian family. first alleged to harass kris jenner about a sex tape she threatened to go public with. she texted kris jenner, let's talk, my bad, let's stalk. she is accused of accessing her e-mail and phone numbers and impersonating the star through calls and texts, telling some she was sick with cancer, even calling police to say a family member had committed suicide. ex-spouse caitlyn jenner was also the target of cyberstalk. celebrity blogger jackie jasper says bankston impersonated him to contact jenner. >> everybody thought i was stalking kris and had issues with her and her family.

and so far from true. >> neighbors who didn't know bankston are surprised. >> i know people do get rather involve and fixated. it's just very strange. >> bankston will appear in federal court on friday. if convicted, she could serve five years in prison. in newark, cornell bernard, abc 7 news. a small school bus with special needs students board collided with a truck in petaluma this afternoon. sky 7 shows the scene at washington street and marina drive where a half ton pickup broadsided the bus. a boy on board the bus suffered a minor injury and was taken to the hospital. tonight a one-day-old baby boy is still in critical condition at a south bay hospital after his mother died in a car accident. 18-year-old dulce capetillo was pregnant with the baby boy when she died early yesterday morning. miraculously, doctors were able to save the child. the abc 7 reporter lisa amin

gulezian is live with how the boy's father is now coping with this tragedy. lisa? >> ama, baby christopher is in the neonatal icu. he was born two months premature. tonight his father speaks out about his loss and his gain. a tired and drained pedro cortez talks about losing the love of his life and gaining a new love. he says he and his fiancee had a great future planned. now there is a void. the pain is overwhelming. dulce capetillo died yesterday. she was a passenger in her brother's car. he had picked her up after the late shift at the taco bell in morgan hill. they were then going to pick up pedro after his shift at the taco bell on alum rock in san jose when the car suddenly swerved and smashed into a bmw that was parked on the shoulder. doctors managed to save their baby. friends and coworkers are a devastated by this new reality.

>> i'm always happy, always pedro and dulce happy. >> i just can't imagine the things he is going through right now. >> reporter: south bay taco bells now have these donation boxes in honor of dulce the company plans to match customer donations. this family gave what they could. >> really like tragic. because, like, like, nobody deserves something like that. >> reporter: a go fund me page is also in place. in san jose, lisa amin gulezian, abc 7 news. >> now to the wildfires burning across the state of california. tonight in southern california firefighters are trying to slow the blue cut fire in san bernardino county. they have contained 22% of the 36,000 acre fire that broke out tuesday morning. about 82,000 people are affected by evacuation warnings. the clayton fire in lake county has destroyed 175 homes and nearly 100 other buildings. that fire started saturday evening by a suspected arsonist and has charred almost 4,000

acres. it's now 60% contained. the man who maintained all the armor for the u.s. olympic fencing team in rio lost his new home in the clayton fire. matthew porter, seen in the middle of this photo and his wife had just move toddler lake a few days before he left for brazil. there is a go fund me account set up to help them. new two olympic swimmers caught in a real robbery probe are on their way home. you're looking at jack conger and bentz on board a plane earlier this evening. also tonight in the last few hours, the u.s. olympic committee issued a formal apology for the controversy surrounding members of team usa and their report of a robbery. a crime brazilian authorities say never happened. here is abc news reporter adrian bankhart. >> olympic athletes jack conger and gunnar bentz heckled as they leave a rio police station in a walk of shame, returning to their hotel rooms after spending

the past 24 hours questioned by authorities stemming from the four men's claims they were robbed at gunpoint outside the olympic village sunday, police saying there was no robbery. federal brazilian police sources saying at least one of four olympic swimmers are seen breaking down a bathroom door at a gas station, then getting into a fight with a security guard. rewind to tuesday, and the controversial interview lochte first gave to nbc news. >> a guy pulled out his gun. he cocked it, put it to my forehead and say get down. i put my hands up. i was like whatever. >> lochte now saying the gun was only pointed in his direction, returning to the u.s. on wednesday. thursday night conger and bentz seen at the airport to finally come home. boarding the plane before anyone else, busy making phone calls, unaccompanied by security or family. sources who s spoke to all four swimmers today told abc news they were in fact held up by armed gunmen until the gunmen

pounds of marijuana he sniffed out during a traffic stop last night near santa rosa. authorities arrested two men from new york, charging them with possession of marijuana for sale, transportation of marijuana for sale and conspiracy. the pot has a reported street value of up to a half million. today a federal judge in northern california rejected a potential $100 million settlement uber had worked out with its drivers. the agreement would have settled a class action lawsuit with drivers who claimed they were employees. the judge called the settlement unfair to the drivers because it was well below the total potential damages of $852 million. uber says it's disappointed with the decision. people across the bay area are flocking to san francisco's castro district to take selfies with a naked donald trump. still ahead on abc 7 news at 11:00, the clock is now ticking on this popular artwork. and speaking of donald trump, tonight the gop presidential candidate shared a rare regret on the campaign trail.

there's, as we headed into the sunset time period at 7:58 p.m. while lovely to look at, not so great for those who have respiratory problems. another spare the air alert has been declared due to the smoggy conditions expected tomorrow. smoke will continue to be a problem as the southerly winds transport that. in poor air quality for the inland east bay. moderate for the rest of the bay area. a live look from the emeryville camera. it is gray out there. that's how your morn willing begin. 60 in oakland. 62 mountain view. 64 san jose. upper 60s around places like half moon bay. we are seeing low clouds out there. 60 in napa. concord, you're in the mid-60s right now. and from our kgo roof camera, the bay lights actually visible here. so since that marine layer has deepened, it's not right down on the deck. and that's why the visibility is actually not as bad as it has been in days past. patchy clouds and drizzle.

a spare the air alert has been issued again for tomorrow. so when you get going in the morning, numbers will start out in the 50, except around antioch and livermore, in the low 60s. and there will be the low clouds around in the overnight hours, going into tomorrow morning. you'll notice at 5:00 a.m. how much cloud cover and fog we have for the commute. so if you're taking a ferry across the bay, it's going to be a murky ride. or if you walk to bart, be careful as you'll notice here. visibility will be low in spots. 7:00 a.m., that continues. and if you're taking the kids off to school, you will need a little more time. cloudy conditions will remain for the afternoon for friday. inland area, we'll be seeing the sun. but clouds right near the coast. and that will impact your highs for tomorrow. notice the temperatures don't see too many 90s tomorrow. 90 in livermore. 89 in antioch. 87 concord. 87 in fairfield. 70 oakland, 69 richmond. 80 in santa rosa. 75 degrees in san rafael. 64 in san francisco. you look at the temperature trend for antioch. and tomorrow afternoon, you're 89 degrees. but as we head into the weekend, temperatures begin to come down
