wednesday night, a san francisco jail inmate was mistakenly released. >> reporter: victor rodriguez has three months left to serve. the sheriff's office says it has information he will turn himself in but so far tonight, he was not. the san francisco sheriff's office says victor rodriguez should still be in jail. >> the clerk made a mistake so the information we received is that all charges had been dismissed and accordingly, we released him. >> the sheriff's office says rodriguez has three months left to serve. >> the clerk did not accurately record what the judge said. >> reporter: he was serving time

related to robbery, watt battery and resisting arrests. one threat? >> he had an ak47 and he was going to shoot deputies. >> reporter: the sheriff's office says the jail released rodriguez and someone noticed a mistake. a very alert deputy understood he was doing to be sentenced and realized he had been released and wanted to know why. >> reporter: the sheriff's office says rodriguez called the jail last night. >> there was a deputy sheriff told him you need to turn yourself in. >> reporter: the sheriff's office are hopeful they will do just that. >> this inmate escaped from a work detail and was caught hours later. the sheriff's department says someone recognized him in a

report. also, a man walked away from a low risk inmate housing facility and was not caught. >> brock turner served three months for three felony convictionses for sexual assaulting an unconscious woman. >> by 6:00 a.m., turner walked out of the jail's front door and into a waiting car. >> today, we're seeing these images taken by investigators hours after the sexual assault that show bruises on his neck. >> two good samaritans chased him after the assault. we have the impact on just about everyone involved in this case and future defendants.

spoke to the candidate. trump also met with the mother of a murder victim. tomorrow, trump is scheduled to visit an african american church in detroit. the fbi released notes in the investigation into hillary clinton's private e-mail server today. in this interview, told investigators she didn't recall 39 times. the report reiterated much of what the investigation found, while they didn't break the law, they were careless with information. moderators were announced for the up coming debates that start on september 26th. anchors from other network will moderate other debates. >> state parks system has begun

this is the last day of the teachers tournament for this year. so, we'll talk about money. first of all, i want to acknowledge our partner in the teachers tournament, farmers insurance, which each year gives $1 million in grant money to worthy teachers all around the country.
