students were involved in the crash. two kid. grief counselors are in classrooms today to help students and staff coach. >> it is hard to come back to school on this day, two days after you find out your friend has died. >> anything but a normal day at school for students at james logan high school in union city. one of classmates, izaiah mease, died if a car crash, the passenger, former student, a friend is in the hospital the. >> friends cry and comfort each other and pay respect by a memorial near the parking lot. some showed up wearing t-shirts saying "rest in paradise." >> logan is such a diverse community. we all care about everyone in the school. all the crash happen on sunday morning. the car meas.

was driving collided with a pickup truck. grief counselors and social workers are providing extra support on campus, the first time students and staff are back together because of the long holiday weekend. >> it is a loss in the entire community. these students were very well respected. they were very well liked. they have siblings and cousins and close family friends all through the district. it is gone to affect almost all of our schools in not all. >> some friends are wearing the football numbers today and district spokesman temperatures me that iaroma was at a school for independent school and used to go to school here and still a very important part of the community. >> thank you, elissa. >> 49ers full back, bruce miller's agent tells abc7 that they doing an investigation into his assault case.

miller is seen pleading and staggering into surveillance video from the travellodge across the street from the marriott at san francisco's wharf. he got into a fight where a 70-year-old and his 29-year-old son at the marriott. miller faces several felonies including assault and elder abuse. the agent says miller went to the hospital to get stitches and tells us there is "two sides," to the story. the 49ers cut miller from the team after this arrest was made public. >> police is arrested one person suspected of making on-line throats against students at two high schools in the south by. they have posted on social media that target jewish constitute -- students with parents receiving an e-mail and that is be done with extra police patrols at both campuses today. >> now amy hollyfield is in the field for us.

>> yes, we are at ift in oakland which is closing with no sign announcing it is closing. when you call itt technical institute it rings and rings and no voice mile and you google, right there "permanently closed ." itt technical institute has released a long statement blaming sanctions from the u.s. government from the department of education ending with this "the damage done to our students and employees and shareholders and taxpayers is irrevocable, we believe the government action was inappropriate and unconstitutional." the department of education announced laughed week that itt technical institute could not enroll any students who use federal financial aid. itt technical institute rely on the money. it received $580 million in federal money just last year. this is expected to impact hundreds of thousands of students. according to itt technical institute, more than 8,000 employees.

released from the jail here in the bay area. turner was released from the santa clara county jail on friday after serving less than half his six months. he was convicted for sexual assault of an unconscious woman. turner has now three years probation during which he will have sex offender treatment. he was arrested in january of last year and he initially faced 14 years in jail. his short sentence, though, has been criticized and garnered national attention including calls to remove judge persky the man who presided over the swimmer's case. that is the latest from the live desk. >> new details in the overnight car accident in east oakland that sent three people to the hospital. police say the woman behind the wheel of this car that rolled over was drunk at the time of the crash. it happened at 1:30 at intersection of 44th street and san leandro slamming into packed cars and track poles. all three adults in the car were ejected and two suffered

non-life threatening injuries and another is in critical condition. >> everyone is safe from a fire that break out on haight street starting at 2:15 inside an apartment. it took crews an hour to put owe the fire. the red cross is now working with six people, driven from their homes, and investigators are trying to figure out what sparked the fire. >> british airways said the computer systems are online after an outage caused worldwide delays year. we were at sfo where thousands of travelers were waiting for hours, a london-bound flight left four hours late and the airlines flight from mineta san jose international airport left three hours late. >> it went down around 5:00 and got here and we have been in line for three hours. >> the problems happen and we just have to keep calm and carry on. >> the airline said that passengers are being checked in at heathrow airport today but
