a plane crash in rio. heading to the bay area. question what happened and who are the victims. the national transportation safety board is hoping to answer some questions. they're in reno today. it happened at takeoff last night around 566:15 with the ple crashing into a parking lot. was bound for san carlos at the time. there live with what she's learned, amy. >> reporter: hi, the pilot just became a tenant here to this san carlos airport two weeks ago.

now the plane has a lot of flying history so it doesn't appear the pilot is new to flying, just new to this airport. the investigators tell my they should be arriving at the crash site right about now. estimated getting there at 11:00 a.m. in reno. review witness statements and look at the records. hope to positively identify the victims by this afternoon. kor anymore did tell me it was three adults that were killed. no children on board. pilots here are trying to figure out who it could be and also wondering what went wrong. >> to some degree you redouble your efforts to make sure you don't have an accident and always be prepare, but until they look into it, you don't know what happened. it's pure speculation. >> reporter: the plane was a single engine piper pa 28. it was registered to a company in albuquerque. crashed into a parking lot. no one on the ground was hurt. all the cars have to stay in the

parking lot for now because it is an active investigation. the airport says it's helping those car owners with cab rides and parking costs. investigators are hoping to release the names of the victims later this afternoon, but they say this investigation could take a while as they look into this flight that was leaving reno and headed here to san carlos. abc seven news. developing out of north bay. sky seven was there as an armored vehicle surrounded the house around vista avenue. guns drawn looking for two people accused of robbing a couple of high school students. going to school and held up at gunpoint. suspects drove away, there was a police pursuit before the suspected were spotted in valet hoe and taken into customer. investigators suspect arson at a florida mosque attended by a shooter orlando martin.

someone walking up to the mosque and a flash and the person running away. today is also the muslim ho holiday. no word on how much damage that fire caused. restaurant was targtsed by animal rights activists who disrupted dinner last week. shows protesters rallying inside the restaurant at 11:00 on friday night. reporting between 10-15 protesters showed up at the restaurant. a man appeared to be holding the protesters until police showed up. when they arrived they detained five people, but made no arrests. hillary clinton has been forced to cancel her visit to california, which included the bay area because of her health. fallout from the candidates near fall, jessica. >> reporter: now her health is taking center stage in the race for president. her bay area event was schedule at the auditorium tonight in san

today marks one year since the fire broke out devastating the community. people are still recovering on this one-year anniversary. the huge fire burned more than 76,000 acres. injuring four firefighters. the communities were among the hardest hit. the fire destroyed nearly 1300 homes before firefighters put it out. faulty wiring for a heating system in a hot tub initially sparked that massive fire. new pieces of debris that could belong to the missing malaysia flight could be found in madagascar. vanished in march of 2014. found pieces appear to show burn marks. debris hunter says resemble some of the panels. that's located below and behind the cockpit under the main cabin
