now from abc7, live, breaking news. >> dan: the breaking muse is in vallejo where neighbors are told to shelter in place right now as a strong, unknown odor floats overhead. good evening. i'm dan ashley. ama daetz is off. let's go straight to lisa amin gulezian. she is live in vallejo with breaking details on this. lisa, what do you have? >> reporter: the city of vallejo has activated a partial emergency operation center here at the fire department on louisiana street. it is to handle all of the phone calls they have been getting. since early this evening they got about 800 calls for help and several people complained about getting sick because of the odor and they were taken to the hospital. the vallejo fire department said they are concentrated in the southern part of the city in the neighborhoods surrounding beverly hills park and glen cove park. hazmat is working with firefighters and pg&e and public safety officers to determine the cause.

killed by an ac transit bus around a 2:00 p.m. >> i heard the mother crying help me, help me, help me. i ran. >> reporter: the little boy identified as 2-year-old jeremiah ezrah was playing outside this apartment complex when he may have ran moo -- ran into the street and was struck by an ac transit bus. >> he was running into the street to catch a ball. >> paula is a neighbor. >> i was speaking to his little sister before i went to my doctor's appointment. the kids play out there all the time. it is a busy street. >> it is a tragic and sad loss for the family and the community. >> reporter: the accident now under investigation. ac transit said the driver was behind the wheel since 1999. following pot toll -- following proat toll protocol' it will undergo screening. >> there is nothing to suggest speed was a factor. >> reporter: there was road

again, here is lisa amin go looy sheen. lisa amin gulezian. >> does he look familiar? >> no, i haven't seen him. >> reporter: at the embarcadero ymca, evan blanchard, who went by devon, was not known by many adults. the y hired him as a summer camp counselor. he inappropriately touched three teenage girls during field trips and possessed child porn and he sent kids sexually explicit photos through social media. >> he took a pro-active stance in making sure we stop and arrest this individual for what he did. >> catching blanchard wasn't easy. they arrested him at a home in phoenix where they found pot, a stolen gun and thousands in cash. they said, quote, this individual no longer works for the organization. we are working closely with authorities to make sure whatever information they need they get.

they also insist blanchard pass a criminal background chest. background test. >> anytime you work with the public orchids you need a background check. >> i think it is terrible. i feel sorry for the parents. >> police say there may be more victims. 234* san francisco, lisa amin gulezian, abc7 news. ton dan cal police are investigating their fourth sex assault from one night 10 days ago. police received a report that a woman had been assaulted at a residential hall on september 10th. that same night police responded to three sexual assaults during the concert. >> dan: new details about the man suspected it in the new jersey and new york bombings. the suspect, ahmad rahami faces federal charges in these attacks. elizabeth herr is in manhattan. >> reporter: good evening to you. in filing these new charges prosecutors say they have the evidence to prove these

attacks were premeditated. alleging that the suspect started buying things on ebay in june. items that can be used to make bombs. new charges filed against ahmed rahami show the 28-year-old planned and plotted his attacks for months. prosecutors allege the suspect captured in this surveillance video planting explosives in a suitcase and backpack left fingerprints on some evidence. the criminal complaint describes the power of the blast on 23rd street in manhattan as strong enough to shatter windows 400 feet away and more than three stories high. it alleges a journal was found on the suspect following the shootout with police which prosecutors include anti-american rapts and praises -- rants and praises for the late leader. this comes on the same day the fbi say they were warned about the suspect.
