night, crews were trying to find the source and others manned the phones getting 800 calls about the smell. the coast guard is looking for the smell and they got a report of a sheen on the san pablo bay. crews search for the source, they are keeping the order in place for people to stay inside for another hour and a half. >> i encourage people to shelter-in-place in they have suppressed immune system. keep the windows closed and the air conditioning off and we will provide another update in the morning at the latest. this map shows the neighborhoods where the neighborhood is the strongest. in beverly hills park and glen cove park in the southern part of the city. the hospital said that dozens of people were brought here and it impacted their e.r. people complaining of burning throats, burning eyes.

they are still assessing whether everyone has been treated and released or people are still here. they are sorting that out and will get that information to us later this morning. the coast guard will launch a helicopter at first light to get over the sheen and figure out what it is and in it is the source of the smell so it will be a busy morning as they try to solve the mystery. >> haz-mat incident in tracy is clear the cameras were kept far away as crews tackled a fire at a corporate test facility. according to sacramento station kobr workers at s.r.i. international released gas from inside a building and it caught fire and spread to the hills. crews knocked it down. the company claims there was no risk to the public from the chemical or the fire. >> from charlotte, north carolina, breaking news. violent protests have been going on all night after deadly police

shooting. it has been chaos in charlotte. it is not clear in the profits will continue. they barricade the front door of a wal-mart store with 12 officers hurt after the shooting of an armed man yesterday. overnight protesters smashed police cars and blocked traffic on an interstate. they stopped several 18-wheelers and pulled positions and goods from the back of the trucks and set it all on fire. the television news crew had to leave when protesters began attacking their news van. the man shot and killed was 43-year-old keith lamont scott. police say he got out of the car holding a firearm but the familiar said he was disabled and was holding a book, not a gun. this morning the mayor of charlotte is lead for calm and promising answers. of course i will watch the situation unfold and bring you any developments from the desk.

>> prosecutors have evidence to prove the attacks in new york and new jersey were premeditated. 28-year-old ahmad khan rahami is facing federal charges in the welcome bombings. vest gores sarah family left fingerprints on a bomb and bought materials on ebay months ago. the file became aware of rahami in 2014 after his father contacted the local law enforcement. he was concerned about the company his son was keeping. [ inaudible ] rahami was carrying a journal when arrested on monday which mentioned him engaging in a shoot out with police and other anti-american rants. >> oakland police are investigating a material incident that killed a two-year-old boy. he was hit by an a.c. transit because. cornell barnard has more on the story. scene of unimaginable grief. a little boy was struck and killed by an a.c. transit bus at 2:00 p.m. >> i heard the mother crying help me, help me, help me.

the little boy identified by family members as 2-year-old jeremiah esera was plague outside an apartment complex and he may have run into the street and was struck by an a.c. transit because traveling northbound. >> he was running to the street to catch a ball. >> i am heartbroken speaking to his little sister before i went to the doctor's appointment and the kids play out there all the time. >> it is busy street. >> this is a tragic and sad loss for the family and the community. >> the accident now under investigation. the driver has been behind the wheel since 1999 and following protocol he will have drug and alcohol screening but it is still unclear how fast the bus was traveling. law is nothing to suggest in preliminary information that speed was a factor. >> this was road construction happening near causing traffic to slow. >> so sad. that was cornell barnard reporting. jeremiah esera's family
