thank you, francis. police in charlotte have released video. protesters have been calling for, but does it show if officers were justified in the fatal shooting of a black man? the video appears to raise more questions than it answers. police have been under heavy pressure to release the dashcam video. this one from an officer's body cam following several nights of violent protests. abc news reporter is in charlotte with more. >> reporter: in a dashcam video, the final moments of the fatal standoff as recorded by police.

keith scoot is seen exiting his vehicle and walking backwards. his hands down, and then -- >> shots fired. one suspect down. >> this body cam video, partially silent, has another perspective. an officer waves his baton trying to get scott out of his vehicle. scott is seen briefly walking in the parking lot and then seen mortally wounded as police advance with guns drawn. officers appear to administer first aid. >> we need to hold the wound. >> police have confirmed to abc news this gun pictured at the scene is the gun they say they recovered from scott. >> the totality of what we see, he absolutely was in possession after handgun. >> police also released a photo of what they say is his gun and an anchor hold they say he was wearing. they say testing on the gun they found at the scene allegedly matches scotts fingerprints, dna

and blood. lawyers for scotts family continue to cast doubt on blitz there is in no definitive evidence in this video whether or not there is is an object in his hand. >> the streets of charlotte swelled with protests another night. awbc news, charlotte. >> oakland protesters marched in solidarity with charlotte. they marched last night. they often split up, run to go escape police. there was a heavy police presence. officers stayed on the move and prevented them from reaching nearby highways. several times protesters blocked had 14th and broadway. three people were arrested on

suspicion of vandalism, and the obstruction of a peace officer. abc7 news was to the oakland's park yesterday as members of the black community came together for a group bike ride. it is called "riding while black" to promote unity, peace within the black lives matter movement. organizers stress they don't label it as a protest or a demonstration. >> it's a bike ride. >> it's just a bike ride where pa black people are gathering and being healthy and being together. >> the group road through the city with a few stops in historically black neighborhoods. developing news out of baltimore this morning. police are lacking for three gunmen who they say shot and injured 8 people, including a three-year-old girl. it happened last night around 5:30. three armed men converged on the

victims from different points. police say this was for a labor day weekend shooting that killed one man and injured two women. officials said all 8 victims are expected to survivor. >> and washington state authorities say the man suspected in a deadly mall shooting is in custody. 20-year-old arcan cetin is suspected of killing four women and one man at miss sis friday night. investigate source say one tip identified a scar which helped them track down cetin, who did not put up a fight when arrested. >> i instantly recognized that is the person i just viewed on my computer. i did an abrupt u-turn, hit my lights, pulled my gun, and my investigator took the individual into custody. he said nothing. he was just kind of zombie-like.

oakhurst. students between the ages of 12 and 14 and their chaperones were on board. the bus was chartered from the los angeles area. back here in san francisco, a man is in custody after a six-hour standoff in front of city hall. the man was waving a gun. sergio quinn taken bena has details on the end of the standoff. >> reporter: this is a picture of san francisco police tweeted out at the end of the standoff. the man was taken into the hospital for a mental and physical hospital. this is a picture of the pistol he was waving. >> after about six hours of negotiations, we were finally able to resolve this peacefully, and the subject eventually turned himself over. >> the first moments were tense. from sky 7 you can see all of civic center was close today pedestrian traffic, as were

nearby buildings, including the library and the asian art museum. the man was often waving his arms and officers waved rifles at him. tourists who hoped to get pictures of the city hall steps had to settle for shots from two blocks away and people parked in the cord donned off area were stranded. >> your car is in there? >> my car is in there and i am not, that's the problem. >> a few people wondered about a concert. >> they said it would be cleared up by 8:00 p.m. but i talked to the police officer and he said he was still in there. >> in the end not a shot was fired. officers decided to call in crisis negotiators, something they are doing more often. this is our 75th call-out for hostage negotiators for people in crisis. last year it was 50. the standoff end he had at 6:00. the concert continued as schedule. >> bc news was at the library

yesterday where the head of the police oversight group spoke. they found sobs are institution natural. one of the panelist said our nation needs to rethink policing and that includes laws -- >> for example, the body one cameras, the footage in california is deemed to be part of his personnel file. anything in the file is confidence. you can't see it, the public cannot. >> the panel is recommending drastic changes to training and discipline. in the oakland hills, a fire in a horse trailer spread to the brush. sky 7 was above highway 13 yesterday was the driver and horse walked way afrom the scene. a police escort followed to keep them safe on the highway. crews were able to keep the fire from spreading to nearby homes. traffic backed up to a crawl during the response.

bridge plaza. just smoothly moving right along. prepare for another the scorcher. you can expect collin kaepernick to continue his protests at tonight's game. he gave a prep talk to the oakland high school players before their game friday night. >> you do make a difference. this matters. >> he met with the players of the high school. the coach shared video and pictures with us. they were inspired by his protest during the national anthem and decided to come one their own demonstration for fighting racial injustice. friday night they laid on the ground with their hands up. backup quarterback field behind the players. >> and it was moving.

program. they played among inmates to watch action, signed autographs and even played some dominoes. after visiting san quentin, they hosted their fourth annual basketball clinicty team's practice facility in oakland. clay thompson along with grant and draymond were there to meet 100 parents and children. there were skills stations, shooting competitions and a wellness station. all proceeds from the clinic benefit the warriors community foundation, which is committed to supporting youth development in the bay area. training camp, by the way, begins on tuesday. some teenagers suffer from serious illnesses or injuries got a second chance at what is considered a young person's right of passage, the prom. many were either hospitalized or they were just too weak to attend. so last night they got a makeup prom. lisa amin gulezian was at this special event in oakland.

cars, things heat up quickly. stay cooled and hydrated. temperatures pretty wild already. notice in half moon bay it's 48. that's the cool spot but are already seeing a lot of low 60s around the area. san francisco is at 62 degrees. here's a live view from mt. tam. here's the things you need to know. we have hot, hot days today and tomorrow. a red flag warning is in effect for the north bay hills until :00 where we could see strong guests from the north-northeast. spare the air today, as well. so here's what you can expect. when we say hot, we are talking triple digit heat inland for two days. around the bay 90s, and even at the coast where we usually get some relief, temperatures will be in the 80s. and spare the air, it's going to be -- well, we have pure air quality in the inland east bay today and also santa clara valley, as well as for tomorrow. so its likely a spare the air

will be issued for tomorrow, as well. if you can take carpool or mass transit for work tomorrow, that will be helpful. here are the temperatures for today. we have hot numbers inland. antioch at the 9, fairfield 99, lake port 99. san francisco 87 degrees. san jose 94 degrees. at the coast, that's where you want to head. here's a live shot of santa cruz. the boardwalk should be crowded later on today. actually that's the wharf. the live shot from the boardwalk. temperatures mainly in the low 80s at the beaches. sunny and warm with the heat advisory in effect for the beaches as well. maybe even though the ocean temperature is 58 degrees we will see more adults in thewater instead of just the kids. a taste of morgan hill. it should be a sunny and warm day. notice the warmest temperatures will be between noon and 4:00. if you can't stay in the shade and stay cool, that would be the best times to do it.

overnight lows, you will get a little bit of relief. so in the inland areas you can open up the windows tonight to cool down the house. temperatures will be in the low 60s through antioch, livermore, fremont. and even palo alto. so that's when you can turn off the a. c.s for a while and get a little bit of a break. i will show you the week ahead. we have hot numbers today and tomorrow. notice things have really cooled down. temperatures take a tumble into next weekend. so if you don't like it hot, you just have to bear through it for a couple days because the cooling begins on tuesday. then the fog returns and we are in the rather it's the cool overnight temperatures. notice by saturday almost 30 degrees cooler inland and 20 degrees cooler at the coast.

and a heat advisory in effect today and tomorrow, and here's why. things are really heating up. web are starting off mild with clear skies this morning. temperatures already in the mid-60s in some areas and some mid-50s. especially near the coast. sunrise at 7:01. we are start to go warm up a little bit. by 9:00 it's still tolerable. notice even before lunch already getting hot, near 90 degrees inland. near 80 around the bay and even at the coast in the mid-70s. we will see triple digit heat. i'll tell you where and how long it will last. carolyn. >> francis, thank you. developing news. police are investigating a triple homicide in a southern california home. they are also lacking for a missing 17-year-old girl who is considered at risk. police found three bodies, two men and a woman, at a home in fullerton. officers say they received a call from a child saying her parents had died. when they arrived, they found two young children alive inside the home.
