cloverdale. >> good morning, reggie i was previoused by a fire spokesman and they have a lot of crew on the ground overnight taking advantage of of the weather. it is nice and cool and he hope they will turn a corner today get the upper hand on the fire, but they also point out that it is expected to be very hot. this fire has burned 1,500 acres and it is 10% contain and it started yesterday in rural cloverdale. 36 homes have been evacuated that are threatened and no buildings have been burned. >> i made sure that everything was not going too crazy and it look like they have a handle on it. >> lot of resources everyone available to hit it hard and hurry so hopefully we are town -- turning the corner. >> no one has been hurt. they are calling it the sawmill fire burning in rural sonoma county. they set up a shelter in

healdsburg. a briefing is at 7:00 and we will get an idea of the progress made overnight. i am reporting from cloverdale. >> a 28-year-old man is expected to survive after getting hit by a police car in san francisco. the accident happened last night at 8th and 24th and portrero avenue. officers are investigating who was at fault. we are awaiting a call from police. >> this sun believable a man is alive after the coast guard gave up searching for him and his mother in the atlantic ocean. you can see on the map a cargo ship found 22-year-old nathan carmen 100 miles south of martha's vineyard in a life raft and spent eight days at sea after he and his mother failed to return from a fishing trip. the coast guard suspended searching for them on friday. his mother still has not been found. >> breaking news from the sacramento area, bad accident

there. >> jessica? all the breaking news is a deadly crash on the yellow causeway, 80 eastbound between davis and sacramento. you can see things are slow there on 80 eastbound only one lane is open and as i mentioned the deadly crash and one person is dead. a total of three people were involved in the crash and you can see all of the debris on road. it was to cars and a tomato truck that crashed with a lot of activity as reporters try to get the information from c.h.p. it is a slow commute if you head eastbound this morning and going to the sacramento area. we are going to keep an eye on this. c.h.p. is expected it give us more information so if we get anymore information it could affect anyone here traveling in that direction i will pass it along in anything changes from the live desk. >> the family of dunn will hole
