in. the red cross takes care of people. mary sullivan white hasn't had much sleep with requests for help. >> i got three hours of sleep last night. and it was interrupted by phone call after phone call. so not very many. a lot of work to do. >> it's a labor of love? >> complete labor of love. >> reporter: the fair grounds has 100 stalls available. one is occupied by four rescued alpacas who had no idea they were at risk. 27 horses have been moved so far to grand hill show grounds, a equestrian center with plenty of room for evacuations. kenneth cole is an oceano grapher and says horse owners seem better prepared to spring

temperatures around the bay area are dropping off now as cool down continues. here is how things stand in the area of the loma fire. temperatures 86 degrees and warm, but not exceedingly hot. humidity is rather low and 16% is higher and wind is calm, there are occasional gusts to nine miles per hour. this nasa satellite image shows path of the smoke from the loma fire into sweeping south ward if it stays in that path, that means smoke will not have any adverse affect on air quality here in the bay area, this is our projection for wind gusts tomorrow, 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., rather. during mid day and afternoon, winds gust occasionally between 10:00 and 15 miles per hour which is not good news for the firefighting efforts but winds diminish in the evening hours tomorrow and temperatures dropping off sharply the next several days, highs into mid-70s and next two days into 60s over the weekend so this cooling trend will diminish.

we still have wind to contend with. ama? >> thank you, spencer. and several homes are burning right next to highway 101 in petaluma. that shut down the free for a while this afternoon. >> this is new video showing smoke pouring out of the home on stewart and mckenzie drive. 4 or 5 were partially burned. >> sky 7 shows massive flames shooting out of one of the houses and there was a traffic back up after the chp closed down the northbound lanes at lakeville highway. that is what you're seeing here, they closed to give fire crews access to fight flames right next to the highway. look at the smoke. >> all lanes just reopened and no one was hurt but they're starting to assess the damage to those houses. >> we did send out multiple alerts about the fire and impact along 101. to get those sent to your smart
