>> live where you live this is abc7 news. >> what did we do? what did we do? what did we do? >> now at 11:00, donald trump supporters kicked out of a san francisco bar. tonight these customers say it was because of their support for the gop nominee. good evening. i'm eric thomas in for dan ashley. >> i'm ama daetz. the confrontation happened over the summer, but cell phone video just released this evening. >> eric: it happened in the city's mission district. >> ama: lilian kim is live with what people have to say about this bar dispute. >> reporter: they now live near fresno, but they lived in the bay area at the time of the incident. they often wear trump t-shirts in hopes of sparking dialogue, but one might it didn't go so well jievment what did we do exactly? >> reporter: this is video in

a bar after two trump supporters were told they have to leave wearing trump t-shirts. they went into the mission district hoping to get a drink. but they said the bartender was unusually hostile. >> she looked at the shirt and said is that for real? with a proud smile on my face i said yes, absolutely. she said we don't serve bigots here. you can leave. >> reporter: eventually two bouncers took them out. the manager did not want to go on camera, but in a statement said the insurance department in -- incident occurred to the individual interacting inappropriately with our bartender. we ask patrons to leave based on that policy. they say they said nothing inappropriate. they believe the incident was rooted in the same intolerance they faced in san francisco before. >> we had people throw beer at

us before. it happens more often than not. >> reporter: their home is to one day go back and have a drink and if lucky have a meaningful conversation about politics. in san francisco, lilian kim, abc7 news. >> eric: now to your voice, your vote. donald trump spoke to thousands during a rally in colorado. he is getting flack for what he said about post traumatic stress disorder. he appeared to suggest that veterans who suffer from ptsd may not be as strong as those who don't. >> eric: hillary clinton is campaigning in ohio. the comments follow a report that his business lost more than $900 million in 19905 -- in 1995 which would have helped him avoid paying federal tacks for years. a new poll shows clinton leading trump by five points. tomorrow is the vice presidential debate. you can watch it here on abc7

yesterday afternoon. >> the problems plaguing a popular east bay swimming spot. they say this pool is just too busy, but they showed up in force to make sure they were heard. katie is live with the details. >> reporter: eric, the planning commission got an earful. three and a half hours of concerned testimony from concerned parents, neighbors and the littlest of swimmers. the pool was built before the city was even a city. so now they are trying to create some rules. lafayette sun valley pool, but some say they are drowning in amplified noise, trash and parking congestion. >> the disturbance from the noise cause me a lot of stress and sickness. >> they were forced to apply for a permit.

>> they are pitting young against elderly. >> we have teenagers there and they are talking about playing popular music. >> the city staff are trying to reach a compromise that will keep the pool afloat. one recommendation is limiting membership to 195 people. it is currently at 215. >> i am very concerned that some of the restrictions being contemplated can impact the pool's finances significantly. >> it is about reasonable use of the pool by the people who are there. >> the swimmers asked to keep the pool open year-round. >> and the time i had there was magical. >> just how large that family can be is leakily to be decided by the planning commission in rl november. in love fie yell, ab -- in lafayette, abc7 news. >> parts of the bay area woke

up to rain for the first time this season. let's take a live look outside at the golden gate brag. the golden gate bridge. drew is tracking what is next with live doppler 7. drew? >> you can see we are drying out, but some folks had to break out the rain gear earlier this morning. live doppler 7 showing the loop of the rain moving through as it did the past 12 hours. the rain is pushing out and the skies are drying out. the highs total in the north bay generally less than a 10th of an inch. we'll have a fair amount of cloud cover and isolated drizzle along the coast. we will start our day with a lot of cloud cover and finish it though with brighter skies and then i am tracking, yes, a return of summer warmth. we'll look at the full accu-weather forecast ahead. >> when you get interesting weather shots take a photo or video using the # abc7 now.

>> eric: we all know bay area traffic is bad. that's according to the mtc, the worst bay area commute is eastbound highway 101 leading to treasure island. the second worst commute in the east bay is westbound highway 4 to the bay bridge toll plaza and the third worst commute is in the south bay. interstate 680 in san jose. katie is live in santa clara county with the other traffic trouble spot commuters are facing. katie? >> reporter: hi, eric. i am standing in front of number four, southbound 101 in santa clara county. they claim three of the top 10 most congested freeways in the bay area which of course is nothing to brag about except part of the problem is job growth which is a good thing. brian wall has gone out of his way to avoid commuting in the bay area. >> buying a motorcycle to adjusting my hours. >> reporter: he says none of it works. >> unless it is a major

holiday and people are out of town it is brutal every day. >> reporter: the metropolitan transportation commission's annual report found the amount of time the bay area drivers spent in traffic going 35 miles an hour or less went up 22% between 2014 and 2015. >> i avoid it as much as possible. >> reporter: the morning commute from east san jose to cupertino is new to the top 10. it jumped from number 20 to number three. santa clara county supervisor is chair and he says the workforce is growing and the workforce is commuting. >> no politician wants to say no more jobs. everybody is out there campaigning. you can hear it in the national election. jobs, jobs, jobs. we are creating jobs so fast we are having a hard time keeping up. >> reporter: the president of the silicon valley leadership group says the solution is measure b. a half cent sales tax increase for the transportation projects. >> instead of focusing on

>> ama: you may have just watched the first episode of "conviction." it is about people who may have wrongly been convicted. it is based on the innocent project that has managed to exonerate people across the country. >> reporter: the star of the legal drama tv series gives an over view pf what to expect every week. >> conviction and integrity unit is given five days which to pick a case and hash it out and see if there was any injustices that happened. >> reporter: in reality, these

organizations already exist throughout the country. they are called the innocence project. the northern california innocence project is located at santa clara university and 20 law students. they get about 2,000 letters a year from people claiming their innocence. jay we are really looking for a strong showing of innocence and a case that we can -- we believe we can have a fighting chance of winning. >> in the past 15 years they helped freeing the people sent to prison. through the use of dna they created the first innocence project in 1992. >> dna can be a way that we prove our client was innocent. but it could be a recantation by witness. >> reporter: they hope the series will shed light on how injustices happen. >> i would like for the public to support the policy initiatives that will change

the potential it could hit the atlantic coast later this week. >> eric: where is it right now. >> it is near haiti. not good news. just in the past 10 minutes or so and here is the latest on hurricane matthew. still a major category 4 storm. the winds are 145 miles per hour. you can see it making its way close to the western edge of haiti. let's time out the track. it will make it through haiti. the potential for up to 40 temperatures of rain falling -- inches of rain falling on haiti. that's like oakland getting two year's worth of rain in one storm. flooding will be extensive. as we look at the further track into wednesday the bahamas are being watched. then florida will be on watch as well. thursday night to friday morning still a category 3 storm. would not be surprised if

tomorrow we see tropical storm and hurricane watches for florida and then all eyes are on the carolinas into the weekend. this course will have to be fine-tuned, but you can track matthew's progress at abc7news.com. back at home. we are showing you a quiet picture after morning showers we are drying out. we are on top of pier15. fleet week is going to have really nice weather. the forecast calls for clouds lingering overnight and perhaps a little drizzle along the immediate coastline. way will finish it with sunshine and then a warming trend beginning midweek. with the cloud cover it acts like a blanket. the temperatures are slow to fall. 60 in san francisco right now and 64 in hayward and oakland holding at 63 at san jose and napa. hour by hour will start out with the isolated chance along the coast. by the afternoon clears --

clearing skies. you can get an hour by hour forecast with the abc7 new it will come in handy. highs are about 68 in oakland and 71 in san jose it will be breezy, 66 in richmond and 75 in antioch and 71 in napa. as we jump ahead to friday lots of sunshine and really warm temperatures in the 70s and the 80s around the bay. and then saturday those numbers jump more. it won't be as intense of a heat wave, but it will feel warm. we will start off 79 oakland 85 in san jose and near 90 inland. the next seven days we will show you we have partly cloudy skies and bright and sunny on your wednesday here are the warmer numbers. it is mild to warm on saturday. slightly cooler and the fog
