it was a pickup truck, a 1993 dodge pickup. vallejo police spotted the truck. they tried to make the stop. that is when the driver took off. the driver did hit a fence on bart property but kept going. finally, stopped at hancock and mission in hayward. the driver ran away. police looked for an hour for the person. they called off the search at 3:00 this morning. this person is still on the loose. >> investigators are trying to determine if a string of armed robberies in contra costa county are the work of a significant. six holdups happened in four days in orinda, danville, pittsburg, antioch and brentwood and police in two cities want to know in their case involved two men wanted for ain't tack in orinda when school district vice president carol brown was shot and her his was pistol-whipped in their drive.
