12 a collision was blocking a couple of lanes and we got the all clear from c.h.p. but this is residual delay. at berkeley and emeryville we are filling in but lack okay. a catcher cop is slowing us out of central valley. i have an update in a few minutes. >> back to the breaking news we brought you at 4:30 this morning, a fire in the dog patch neighborhood. >> and we are there with more news on the building. >> this is the former portrero police station but it has been vacant for a decade. firefighters say it is clear that someone was going inside. the fire broke out at the two story building at 3:00 in the morning, and firefighter are investigating this as "suspicious." firefighters were searching the empty rooms with holes in the wall, a sign of forced entry and that people had been inside. it does appear that the fire was set in a now different areas of

the building. i had a chance to talk with the assistant fire chief, brian ruben stein. >> it was possibly set intentionally not an accidental fire, someone would wanted to start a fire. >> the fire is out. no one was hurt. they did not find anyone inside. fire chief said they responded to the same building several times before for other suspicious fires. reporting from san francisco for abc7. >> happening now, hurricane mathew is moving to the bahamas and is expected to hit the islands by tonight and dump town 15" of rain. the category four storm slammed into cuba and haiti yesterday. look at the tree shaking in the wind. 145 miles per hour winds toppled the trees and rip-off the roofs and left rivers floated and choked with debris. the storm is now blamed for at least nine deaths.

strange scary clown threat hitting other parts of the country. now it is in our own backyard. >> this is getting out of hand. several east bay schools take threats of violence seriously this remain. amy hollyfield is in antioch at black diamond middle school. averagey? >> reggie add antioch to the list. all of the activity is hatching right here on social media, where the threats are surfacing. in violence has happened. still, officials are taking the threat seriously, and even telling parents of them just in case. better to be safe than sorry. here is how the situation lacks in the bay area. there have been threats of clown violence, two schools in oakland and antioch and fairfield. this is happening across the nation. 22 states have reported lets of clown violence. we hear police and different communities saying they think these are hoaxes, including in oakland and fairfield. but seeing their school name police dead and violence

promised is enough to put many student on edge. >> they say they are coming to fairfield high school and are going to kill or kidnap people and specifically actually that terrify me because i have friends. >> i'm freakin' out because all i see on instagram is "clowns, clowns, clowns," how does something like this go world wide? >> school officials in antioch and oakland sent word out to parents about the clown threats and asked that everyone be more vigilant. in antioch they are also emphasizing that students are not allowed to participate in cyberbullying and should not spread threatening rumors, in they do they can be suspended or expelled. i cannot help but think what is coming up at the end of the month. halloween. are we going to see a lot of clown costumes? are they fun? or threatening? this is an interesting situation we are in.

arsonist after 15 small fires have been set in fremont in july concentrated in warm springs district. the majority have been set overnight and most recently on sunday at 1:30 in the afternoon. we specific to a family whose home was nearly burned on friday. the family said that the flames started in the bushes along warm springs boulevard. they spread to their fence. and to five stall trees in the back yesterday. it burned the patio on the deck. >> a it scares me. it angers me. how could someone do that? everyone loves fremont. we love fremont. we have lived here all our lives. >> trees and bushes and trash cans and dumpsters have all been targeted. >> first have almost finish their job battling the loma fire in the santa cruz mountains, and that fire now is 92% contained. and all evacuation orders have been lifted with flames charring 4,400 acres sin last week. 12 homes are destroyed.
