and it was captured on a surveillance video. >> the man is seen fighting off the attack in the video, a sunny day, his birthday when two men wearing orange hoodies demanded his wallet and demanded his wife's jewelry from her neck. one of them hit him in the neck with a gun. >> i was real mad. i was thinking of my wife. >> reporter: he hand his wife ended up cuts and bruises and is otherwise okay. he report it had to oakland police and picked up the video and hasn't heard anything sinsz and he contacted the councilman. >> wanted me to follow up to see if anything had been down because other senior women have been robbed the sam way that he's been robbed. >> reporter: oakland police told us they were investigating the incident but so far have made no arrests n.oakland, laura anthony, abc 7 news. >> in breaking news tonight, a manhunt for a stabbing suspect

has ended in gunfire in concord. in the end the suspect was quitly injured by officers who say that suspect stabbed a police dog. abc 7 news reporter bernard is live in concord with what happened. cornell. >> ama, we've just confirmed that that stabbing suspect shot by concord police officers has died. a police dog is recovering from his injuries. that incident happened here in the backyard of a home here on san jose avenue. that's where csi technicians are looking for evidence. still a very active scene. police say it began about 2:00 p.m. on crawford street and sky 7 was over the scene and that's where had a man was stabbed by the suspect. a motive unknown. police pursuit followed the man to san jose avenue and that's where concord police canine dog was sent into the backyard of a house to locate the man who they

say was armed with a knife. >> a canine was sent to apprehend the suspect and unfortunately stabbed in the face by i believe some shears. shots were fired and two of our officers were shot. >> reporter: it's unknown how many shots were fired by two concord police officers or what was said before those shots were fired to the suspect. the suspect only described at this hour as a white male from the concord area. he has a record. we do not know what exactly that is, but, again, that man has died at a hospital following a pursuit and shots fired by concourt police officers. we're live in concord, cornell bernard, abc 7 news. >> thanks so much for that update. an argument at a 7-eleven in the east bay has left two men with gunshot wounds. abc 7 news was in vallejo over the intersection of tennessee and amador streets just before 2:00. fire officials tell us a group of men in the 7-eleven parking lot exchanged words which led to

shots being fired. one man was shot in the stomach and another was grazed. police are looking for a yellow geo metro driven by a long-haired man in his 20s. >> contra costa county prosecutors confirm they are investigating a reese -- a recent attack on a sikhman. more live from where the attack took place late last month. leslie? >> reporter: that's right, dan. i'm here at this red light intersection by hilltop mall. that's where 41-year-old sikh man was violently attacked and assaulted, as you said. he's recoup rate right now with his family up in canada around he speak to me today by phone. 9:00 p.m. when the man says a pickup truck filled with young men threw a beer can at him while he was stopped at an intersection. dialed 911 and several of them

attacked him as he sat in the driver's seat. >> he attacked me and cut my hair with a knife and stabbed me in the finger. >> reporter: finger will now have to be amputated. the sikh coalition sent this letter to the contra costa d's office and emphasized he was targeted because of his ethnic, sikh and racial appearance including a turban and unshorn hair and beard. two men were arrested for the attack. dustin albarado and choice little who came here to work at the chevron refinery in richmond. today they issued a statement saying chevron regrets this very unfortunate incident and does not tolerate this type of behavior from its employees or contractors. they confirm the men arrested were terminated and banned from entering the refinery. >> our police department has done an excellent job in apprehending some of the

suspects. i have confidence that they will find the risk. investigators are following up on more leads and could make more arrests by the end of the week. in richmond, i'm leslie brinkley, abc 7 news. >> an alameda county jail inmate is suspecteded of strangling or beating his cellmate at santa rita jail. sheriff's deputies say the men were being held in a maximum security facility. >> no indication that either one of these gentlemen couldn't be housed together. if there were concerns we would have put them in a segregated cell where they would be by themselves. >> the sheriff has locked down that part of the santa ryota jail while investigators question other inmates. >> a judge has ordered a san francisco organization to stop doing business. abc 7 news was outside san

first arrival. >> certainly looks nice and calm and pleasant out there. right now not very threatening. here's live doppler 7 and we have mainly sunny skies with a few thin high clouds and that's all going to change in just a couple of days. two storms coming our way. a storm impact scale which permits you of the impact and the intensity of each approaching storm. the first of our two incoming storms ranks two on the storm impact scale. arriving late thursday night into friday producing it up to an inch of rain or more. starting at 8:00 p.m. thursday and notice the first wave moves through the north bay and just after midnight and into early friday morning. by 5:00 a.m. there will be wet slippery pavement across the bay area. a pretty wet storm dumping at least an inch of rain in parts of the north bay it. it will start to wind down and still wet pavement left behind for the evening commute. probably going to be a slow commute throughout the day and a

rain has ended we expect rainfall totals to reach three-quarters of an inch in the north way and up to half han inch in the bay. 7:00 p.m. saturday rain will spread to all parts of the bay area so another wet system is coming in for the weekend. it will continue into early sunday morning. it will break up a little bit with a break mainly in the north bay and a second wave of rain will arrive adding to the wet effect of the two systems so we've got a pretty wet period of time from friday through sunday. now, forecast animation for tonight starting at 11:00, we'll continue to see high clouds moving through the bay area with low clouds and position and maybe even spotty drizzle in the very early morning hours and we'll quickly see the clouds back to the coastline by midday. overnight lows will range up
