getting better? >> if you do not like driving in the rain it is better. >> good morning, everyone, live doppler hd is showing you danville, dublin, pleasanton, livermore, san ramon, all seeing showers right now and they are heading off to the east. we are not out on of the woods yet. but, notice on my day planner the showers become isolated by noon and the sun is break out this afternoon, temperatures in the 60s, and it will be brighter and milder when you head back home. >> developing news in vallejo, police say they were ambushed by a man with an assault rifle, while they were snowed a starbucks. this happened at the starbucks on lincoln road off the magazine street exit. they say the man appeared to have an issue with his gun and wasn't able to fire at them. officers chase him through the parking lot and they say he kept trying to fire at them, so they shot him. the suspect is in the hospital with life threatening injuries this morning, and police found another handgun on him and they say he was also wearing body armor and the officers were not

hurt. >> it may have stopped raining where you live at least for now, but, coastal areas are still under a flood advisory this morning. >> our reporter, matt keller in pacific can with a look at conditions this morning. matt? >> good morning, reggie and jessica, right new, good news, as far as coastal flooding, it is low tide so that means the waves are not crashing over us here on the railing at the pier. that is good news because we are staying dry. obviously, this will change as the day goes on, high high tide is scheduled for 11 45 ambassador and the waves are big today, but not is big as over the weekend. some places saw 15' waves and surfers hit water in san francisco. today the spot in san francisco will see 8 to 9' wave as great day for suching. here in pacifica, waves are forecasted to be bigger, double overhead or triple overhead, i sound lick a surfer, that is 12 to 13' waves. if you walk on the beach be

extra careful the waves are big, you need to be careful around the water. today. i am matt keller for abc7. >> we are still waiting for an update on pg&e. last night the utility said 6,300 customers hat out average because of the weather and most them were reported in the east bay. the utility called in extra crews to work on the problems. all the storm not only brought rain and gusty winds to the bay area but also problems on the road. this is what it looked like on northbound 280. the roads were slick. visibility was are poor. a driver spun out near the san jose avenue exit in san francisco, fortunately, nobody was hurt, despite the understooded freeway. >> the rain drenched fans and players who went to the raiders chief game at the coliseum and our media partners at news group shared the images with us of rain water that dripped from the ceiling of the visiting team's tunnel. fans say there was also minor flooding in the stands.

right off interstate 80 and magazine street. amy hollyfield is on the scene. you saw the surveillance video? >> yes, i did, reggie. you will only see it on abc7 showing the officers chasing this man. but, first, listen to the call they put out right after they say a man pulled a gun on them while they were here trying to get some coffee. >> man with a rifle ambushed us at starbucks. >> now here is the video, the gas station camera captured the man walking in, and a few seconds later, he ran out. he is being chased by two officers. he ran away when the officers drew their guns inside the starbucks and they say the man continues to threaten them with an assault-style gun so they say they shot him three times the he was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries. customers at starbucks next to interstate 80 cannot believe it happened here.

investigation." >> back to the weather, a lot of you are drying out this morning after a soggy and windy weekend across the bay area, and some of you could be on clean up as a result. the storm caused issues on streets and freeways throughout our area and to san francisco last night, you can see here, downed power lanes were a big problem on geary boulevard landing on parked cars, near third avenue and residents in the area lost power. police diverted traffic and order everyone to "shelter in place." we received updated numbers on power outages, in all, more than 670s customers still have no lights on and the most are in the south bay with 345 people in the dark. >> look at this, the south bay crews were busy cutting up a downed tree that stopped traffic on stevens canyon road in keep family, residents of the mountain community are used to this sort of thing during the rainy season. >> i was just trying to get home, and i was just out shopping and i came back and found the trees across the road so it is normal and happens every year.
