mid-350's. we will hang out with 50s at the coast today. mid-to upper 60s by noon, and grab a jacket but you won't need an umbrella now but possibly monday, cornell. i'll have that next. >> thank you, mike. new this morning, crews are still cleaning up after a broken water main flooded nearly a dozen home in the east bay. the 60-inch water main burst, creating a huge sinkhole. it happened in the diamond district on montana street. we have the details. >> reporter: a rough start to the weekend for families living along montana street. all this craziness caused by an old cast iron pipe that ruptured. the street looked more like raging rapids. this family's basement needs to dry out. >> what frustrates me is why don't they fix the whole pipe instead of patch mixing it.

>> she is waiting for restored water service. >> this is the third time it happened. three times it went through the house. >> reporter: she said this one is the first. belongings are covered in plastic bags. >> and now it's at the middle of the hill so it's probably the same line. >> unfortunately her bmw was parked in the water's path. the pipe is four feet deep. the break created a sinkhole. you can see they reached the pipe, now they have to replace it. east bay mid-has a pipe replacement program. the cracked pipe was slated to be replaced in 2017 but the utility admits mains are breaking faster than they can get to them. >> right now we are out about ten miles a year, and we want to be at 40 miles. >> no word yet on estimated property damage. an expensive problem.

. >> yesterday after this happened, we sent out a push alert on our abc news app. you can get updates on any breaking news as it happens. a colorado woman last seen inside sfo's domestic terminal is missing this morning. 63-year-old woman arrived for her flight to denver monday night but she never boarded and disappeared. she suffers from mental illness and requires medication. her family believes she may have become confused and disoriented plice in the south bay are looking for a man who pretended to be an officer and lured a woman into a car. it happens at deanza college. we have the story. >> the female student was walking to her car and parking lot a around 8:45 wednesday night when a man approached her and told her he was an undercover police officer. >> they said they shouldn't be walking alone and they should

get into the lone or they would issue a citation. >> the woman told police the man was talking aggressively and two other people were in the car. a black bmw with tinted indose. when another car drove between them she was able to get away. the driver is described as thin, possibly middle eastern with a slight accent. his air is wavy on the sides and longer. >> i was upset but not totally shocked. >> to think that someone would go as far as to impersonate someone else, especially a police officer, it's really concerning. and it makes you question, like, who can you trust at this point? had. >> reporter: the police chief said a real police officer will prove they are legitimate. >> they should show you a badge and an identification card and if you have any doubts about that individual, call 911 on are your cell phone. >> police can also call police for a nighttime safety escort. investigators are following up on leads and ask anyone with

information on the officer impersonator to call the foothills police. abc7 news. san francisco police union said they reached an impasse in talks with the department over use of force reforms. the sticking point is a policy that would allow officer to shoot at moving vehicles. officers need to be able to protect the public from attacks like the one in france when a man deliberately drove into a crowd leaving 86 people dead. a hunger strike at the santa clara county jail is over this morning. 100 inmates ate dinner for the first time since monday. correctional deputies will meet three of their demands, and the group is still hoping to end solitary confinement. >> budget cuts will force most

facebook, google and reddit were all slowed or brought to a stop by the attacks. first attack came around 4 :00 a.m. the ceo of u.s. dine inc said an incredibly sophisticated attack overwhelmed their servers. they translated web adegrees dress boos numerical codes that computers look to communicate. no codes meant no websites. >> www..twitter.com have no meaning because they can't go to an address. it's off. >> it was mostly affecting the east coast. a second attack hit dine at 9:00 a.m. that hit the west coast harder. a third attack came at 1:00 p.m. the white house isn't ready to point blame. >> at this point i don't have any information to share about who may be responsible for that malicious activity. >> but experts believe it could be anyone. >> anonymous is able to do this.

have a great weekend, everybody. i'm larry beil. >> now your accuweather forecast request mike nicco. >> if you were with us jed morning, i called that cal win. they went win-loss, win-loss, win-loss, so the seventh game was supposed to be a win and they did it. congratulations. we are getting better as far as the drought monitor go. little change from the rain we had last weekend. >> but look at this, the northwest corner, 8% of the state is finally out of any type of drought category. that's the largest since about march of 2013. i would like to sea that move southward and take over our neighborhoods the next couple of months. here's a look. look at the ferry building. notice the flags. in the moving much. sea breeze having a hard time getting started. but the high clouds will get into the sunshine and the sea breeze will pick up. we will be cooler and more so tomorrow. chances, a couple of storms i'm tracking for next week. the second storm possibly stronger than the first one.

here's a look at our wind. high pressure barely holding on by its fingertips but it's starting to blow inland from san francisco. 9 miles an hour right now. we will start down in the scout bay. look at the temperatures from 68 in santa cruz, not bad at the boardwalk, to 75 in los gatos. nearly average, 37 san jose. on the peninsula today we have 69 in san mateo to pacifica at 63 to about 70 in menlo park. now around san francisco probably our coolest neighborhoods. temperatures in the mid-60s, may even get to 67 in south san francisco. sunset about 63. now let's take a look at santa rosa. we will be in the mid-to upper 50s. and low to mid-70s. along the east bay shore, cool and comfortable outside. fremont about 71. our last stop inland east bay, we will see the biggest drop in temperatures today, the 80s are gone. a lot of mid-70s here. tonight's temperatures a lot like this morning. maybe a little cooler with more 40s in the inland areas.

buccaneers are sailing in levi's stadium sunday. 70s and sunshine as we take on the 49ers. here's a look at the first storm. a few sprinkles possible for the monday morning commute. notice the yellows and or ranks. moderate rain but it stays mainly north of the bay with some scattered rain for you during the day monday. and then it slides in during the evening and overnight hours. look, it never makes it south of the san mateo bridge before it falls apart. here are the rainfall totals. bone dry in livermore, san jose mainly mild. san francisco we could get a tenth inch, same thing in oakland. but it's the north bay we could get a third and possibly two-thirds of an inch of rain. no storm impact scale on that because it's only going to affect the north bay. as we look toward wednesday, question get a little bit of a break into thursday and thursday evening into friday. the next storm comes at us front pushes the south and that means the south bay has a better chance of receiving rain but it will move north friday into

dollars drawing. nobody picked all six numbers. tuesday night's jackpot increases to $30 million. the ronald mcdonald house at stanford hosted a special cooking demonstration. celebrity chefs cooked up dishes, especially for kids dealing with cancer. some of the patients helped the chef with a special chicken stir fry dish. the chef is a big supporter of families fighting cancer. an east bay teenager has been getting ready for halloween this year by putting together his fourth annual haunted house. 16-year-old sam of albany has created another thrilling attraction be. this video from last year's haunted house. sam's theme this year is "broken spine line" which promises to leave guests pretty much terrorized. five dollars donations are suggested to benefit the almeda county food bank. the next haunted house is next saturday and halloween night.

visibility has been as low as a quarter mile in santa rosa and half-mile in napa, as least at both. the airports. notice it's a little higher now. it doesn't mean the fog went away, it's just on the move. nearly calm to about 5 miles an hour right now. it will be a nice day to be at the golden gate bridge. high clouds and sunshine. the low clouds should stay away. temperatures in the 350's at the coast. mid-and upper 50s from noon to 4:00 around the bay and upper 60s and low 70s inland. if you are heading out, grab a coat. mid-50s to low 60s by 7:00. tracking a couple chances of rain. i'll have that up soon. >> thanks, mike. what a mess. crews cleaning up after a broken water main flooded homes in the east bay. the 16-inch water main broke, creating a huge sinkhole he. lonny rivera was there. >> reporter: a rough start to the weekend for families
