now an act coup weather update from abc 7 news. >> i'm meteorologist drew tuma. showers are moving into the bay area. we will go down the street level. your hercules concord, walnut creek. these are light showers falling this afternoon. we will take you to the south, san jose, stanford, fremont, we continue to see damp roadways in the afternoon and evening. this is just the beginning of what will be a moderate storm, moving through tonight and into friday. so what we're expecting, about a half an inch to an inch in most areas across the bay area. we will see some get an inch of rain. two-to-four inches along with thunderstorm chances.

these guys are on a mission. a pretty serious mission. going up this mountain right here. this is on the chinese/nepalese border in the himalayas. one of the tallest mountains in the world. they're working their way up the side. it is a serious piece of work. this is an ascent in pursuit of a world record. a 51-year-old expert when it comes to jumping off things. out here to set the world railroad for the world's highest base jump. now, usually when people are base jumping, they're jumping off buildings a couple hundred feet. this base jump will be 25,250 feet and will involve 90 seconds of free fall. i mean, you're higher than most commercial airliners, to be honest. >> that's kind of a bummer. he had to walk. >> he didn't have to walk. it was an expedition. in fact, they had to wait about a week until the weather cleared
