numbers in the 150s. look at upper 40s in the north bay. from the exploratorium camera you see it's quiet with temperatures in the mid-50s. we will look for cooler conditions throughout the weekend we will time-out the showers for you and talk about setting our clocks back. that's all coming up in a few minutes. chris. >> thank you. police are investigating a shooting that left at least ten people injured in downtown oakland. the shooting happened near 14th and broadway just a few blocks away from city hall. police say as many as three gunmen were involved. our media partner, the east bay times, reports that the shooting was the result of a dispute at a nightclub. oakland police say several people were taken to the hospital. police say many of the victims are in stable condition. no arrests have been made. a man and a woman are under arrest in connection to a death of a woman who was found dead in a park on thursday.

the body of 21-year-old karla ramirez-segoviano session was found in an east oakland park. abc7 news reporter sergio quintana has the details. >> reporter: friends and family gathered at karla ramirez-segoviano home. he sailed he knows one of the suspects also >> i knew the girl. she used to work at kfc. it shocks me because how can a a coworker do that to another coworker. >> the coworker is named laura rodgers. laura rodgers was booked into the almeda county jail on murder charges. investigators say karla had been badly beaten, stabbed and burned. her family has been distraught since she disappeared earlier this week. they said this has been awful for all of them, especially

the charge now is just a miss misdemeanor. connections to charges of jasmine abuslin have been investigated for seven months. some of felonies but they say that's not the case here. >> based on her own statements the sexual interactions she had with police officers in contra costa county was when she was over 18. they were consensual. >> the misdemeanor charge is for a retired oakland police captain who is now in his 80s. prosecutors say he paid for sex with abuslin and will be charged with soliciting a prostitute. >> investigators say a skimmer device was found at a gas station in unincorporated mill valley. sheriffs officials say it appears it was put there during

the night. skimmer devices are used to steal personal information and credit card information. some use bluetooth technology so the thieves can access the data remotely. happening today, at&t park will be transformed into a field of science dreams for the science festival discovery day. there will be hundreds of science exhibits and games and experience from leading science and technology organizations from across the bay area. this year the festival will encourage kids to explore curiosity. it runs from 10:00 to 4:00 today at at&t park. >> there are so many great schools in the san francisco bay area but not every school is acknowledged by the u.s. department of education. the on tuesday sun valley elementary in san rafael will be awarded a blue ribbon, the highest honor given to a school. lyanne melendez tells us what makes them great. >> reporter: you know when a school is located on happy lane

winds and allowing for some showers, specifically in the north bay tomorrow morning and the mild fall weather continues for most of next week. a huge surf out there. a high surf advisory tonight into tomorrow. look at the wave heights already, anywhere from 9 feet to 14 feet. we are looking at the sneaker waves and swells up to 15 feet. let's take you through the day hour by hour. we have the fog and you notice by the afternoon clouds begin to increase, especially in the north bay. but in the east bay, that cal game looking pretty good. partly cloudy skies, sunny down in stanford. we are looking at temperatures today a couple crease cooler. low 60s half moon bay, low 70s inland. pleasant. we are bringing in our storm impact scale late tonight into tomorrow. this will feature the weak system to the north of us. scattered light rain showers. less than .2-inch. and we are looking at light winds. we want to highlight the area where we think you will see the scattered showers. but you know what? you will probably sleep through

mainly in the north bay. slightly cooler at the coast. and in parts of the north bay. otherwise sunshine to partly cloudy conditions, low 70 eats for your high. this morning the sun is up at 7:40. tomorrow morning 6:40 and it's going to take until november 30th to see that sun come up at 7:05. sun sets tomorrow at 5 a:05 and the earliest sunset is december 1st at 4:50 and it will take until january 1st to get the sun setting back again at 5:00 p.m.. the good news in all of this, you get an extra hour of sleep tonight. we will detail the outlook for the rain in parts of the bay area coming up. >> lisa, thank you. police are investigating a shooting that left at least ten people injured in downtown oakland. the shooting happened near 14th and broadway just a few blocks away fro city hall. police say as many as three gunmen were involved. our media partner, the east bay times, reports that the shooting was the result of a dispute at a nightclub.
