that means a light system. i'll detail where the rain will fall and when in just a few minutes. >> lisa, thank you. east bay this morning, police are investigating a shooting that left ten people injured in downtown oakland. it happened around 12:15 outside the vinyl nightclub near 14th and broadway. police say as many as three gunmen were involved. media partner, east bay times reports the shooting was a result of the dispute at the club and that the victims ages range from 17 to 28 years old. police say several people were taken to the hospital. many are in stable condition. no arrests have been made. a man and a woman are under arrest in connection to the death of a woman who was found dead in a park on thursday. the body of 21-year-old karla ramona was found. >> reporter: friends and family gathered at her home all evening, a friend who used to

work with her at a local fast food restaurant, came to pay his respects. he says he also knows one of the suspects. >> i know the girl actually. she used to work with us at kfc. it shocks me because how can a coworker do that to another coworker. >> named laura rogers, although the d.a. has not released the name of the suspect, abc 7 has learned laura roger was booked on murder charges. karla's body was found around noon in oakland. investigators say karla had been badly beaten, stabbed and burned. her family has been distraught since she disappeared earlier this week. >> karla's sister says this has been awful for all of them, especially watching her parents in pain. she was in the sheriff's explorer program, and has known her for three years. >> it is difficult, probably one of the hardest things i've had

a former ucf surgeon is charged with illegal narcotic prescriptions. police arrested christopher owens on thursday, after a five month investigation. was a faculty member at the university's san francisco va medical center. the university fired him this week and released this statement. ucf stakes this incident seriously and urges its entire clinical staff to be alert for opioid misuse and to report any

such suspicions. prosecutors say they'll only charge one person in connection with the sex scandal that has affected law enforcement in the bay area the charge is now just a misdemeanor. the d.a.'s office has investigated this case for seven months. in other departments, officers face charging, including seven in al media county. some of them are felonies. the d.a. said that's not the case in this case. >> based on ms. abusalin's own words, she was over 18, those sexual interactions were consensu consensual. >> the misdemeanor charges for a retired oakland police captain now in his 80s, prosecutors say he paid for sex and will be charged with soliciting a prostitute. a skimmer device was found at a gas station in uncorporated mill valley. a gas station employee noticed it on thursday, sheriff's
